Had headlight replaced and a few weeks later had moisture in the assembly. The day time running lights stopped working and noticed the cover off the assembly . Set up appointment to have it looked at but they didn’t get a chance to check it out. A few days later they found the cap off the back of the light assembly and said they didn’t cause the light to fail. They charged me an hour labor for a problem they caused. They don’t stand by their work and I will never go back.

Was a fantastic place for a long time. However this last year seems like they try to get by on bare minimum and charge up the butt for it… there was a few issues but I’ll just share this one. Dropped vehicle off because it was stalling. They changed the oil with regular oil and not synthetic which is what my vehicle takes told me it was fine and would solve the issue.. Well it absolutely did not and if anything made more damage to my vehicle. I’ve been going here for major issues my whole life owning vehicles but unfortunately will not be back.

I contacted ***'s Auto in December to inquire about having some work done on my car. This shop works with FedCap as a vendor. FedCap works with the department of health and human services. I was using FedCap at the time. I made arrangement to have the car towed to ***'s Auto on January 4, 2023 for an appointment on the 5th of January. I let ***'s Auto to let them know the car was en route. They had my car for a month with no communication as to the progress, despite me attempting to make contact. Six weeks later when I picked up the car it was still acting in the same manner, as if no work had been done at all. The CV Joint on the drivers right front was to be replaced. I had difficulty driving away. I had to have the owner come out and look at it, he managed to get it moving forward. I got a second opinion and was told that the CV joint was failing. I immediately reached out to ***'s Auto to express my concerns and was told to have anther shop so the work, after he took the payment for the job. In addition, a Playstation 4 was taken from the trunk of my car. My registration and insurance card are also missing as well as damage to me keyfob. Overall, this has cost me over $800.00. I would like my son's property returned and full reimbursement on the job done, including my out of pocket cost for replacing my *****.

Dan and his guys have been very helpful with my 2007 Dodge 1500. Newest truck I have ever owned, low miles, and not much rust, which is a bigtime score for a used truck in this neck of the woods. Dan was an instructor in our local highschool's automotive vocational program, so he is up to date with all the computer/electronic bs that has inundated our lives in the name of progress. A good mechanic is not expensive, they are priceless..(a quote from the car dr)

My experience is that Dan's provides excellent auto repair while keeping the customer's (read "my") costs low. When my previous repair shop would not inspect my car until I paid $700+ for repairs, I felt it was worthwhile to get a second opinion. A member at church strongly recommended Dan's. At Dan's a part was ordered, put on that very day, and I left the garage with N inspection sticker paying under $100. The courtesy, competence and readiness of all the mechanics at Dan's to put themselves in their customers' shoes has made me one of their greatest fans. I have no problem in highly recommending Dan's to anyone in the Rumford area in need of a good automotive mechanic.
