We are thrilled with our new boat, a Nimbus 11 that was sold to us by Yachting Solutions. I cannot praise Yachting Solutions more highly. Bob Chase and his team gave the boat a christianing not to be beat and have immediately followed up with any questions we have had subsequent to our buying the boat. Bravo, Yachting Solutions! The experience of evaluating, test driving and buying a boat from these guys was fun and outstanding, not to beat the experience of taking delivery and their knowledge, service and customer care. Thank you YS!

True story:2020 Nimbus T11 Window Problems. Yachting Solutions in Rockland, Maine is the Dealer.Year one, season 1: We purchase our boat and in the first year of ownership the portside window begins to leak in sea water.Solution: Nimbus dealer requests the boat be hauled back for repair. Owner pays for haul out, winter storage at dealer.Year Two, season 2: Boat returns home and same window leaks again.Solution: We reject the dealer's proposal for a second haul across state lines and winter storage. We request a new window. New window request is rejected. Dealer pays for local boat yard to do window repairs.Year Two after repairs: Window leaks again. Sea water continues to pour in. We do our own patch repairs with tape to finish the 3rd boating season.Year Three, season 4: We request a new window replacement directly from Nimbus. Dealer/Nimbus pays for local window installer to install a new window. New window falls completely off the boat in choppy seas and the boat nearly sinks with our family on it. Knee high water fills the cabin. Traumatic experience. We lose personal belongs in the sea water and our 3 day vacation is spent doing repairs. Conclusion: Insurance (policy sold via dealer) report concludes "MANUFACTURER DEFECT" as cause. As such, insurance is not responsible and will not pay for boat repairs, boat tow, boat or personal damages caused in the accident. Damages total $35,000 USD. Dealer/Nimbus have reject the insurance report findings and point to a poor installation of the new window, that THEY AUTHORIZED AND PAID FOR. Their proposed solution, trade-in our boat and buy a new boat from them.We live in Massachusetts and purchased our boat in Maine. Maine consumer protection law states that if one buys an item that is defective, and after giving the manufacturer the opportunity to fix the defect the item returns and is still defective, we have the right to a full refund or replacement of that item, in this case a new boat. The window was one of MANY, MANY problems with our boat. For example, Nimbus T11 are advertised on their website as being sold with Mercury 300 engines. Our boat came with Evinrude 300 engines, which were discontinued and the company went out of business 4 months prior to delivery. This was NOT disclosed to us at the time of the sale. We have not been able to service our boat engines locally since purchase. In light of all these issues, we are requesting a new boat or a refund. This is now in the hands of the Attorney General and our own attorneys. Our boat, when it wasn't having problems, was a source of tremendous pleasure and beautiful family memories. We invested heavily in add-on and accessories to improve the boat and are devastated by the above events but more so by the lack of adequate response both from the boat dealer and Nimbus. Nimbus has been all but quiet throughout all this. Their silence is deafening. More than a month after the incident, our boat sits without a window in our boat yard.I thought i would share our experience for you all to be aware. My post was removed twice from the Facebook owner's group, then they blocked my account.
