I love customer service at Spectrum. They are sane, human, intelligent, friendly. I'm not being paid to say this...I have Spectrum in one location and Comcast in another. Comcast customer service is a nightmare - I'm forever dealing with people offshore who sometimes don't understand you and other times just don't want to. If I had the option of using Spectrum everywhere I would happily do so.

Today, I stopped in the Spectrum store because I had just signed on for Spectrum mobile (cell plan) and had trouble activating the service. The store manager, a delightful woman (with gorgeous nails!!!), provided THE.BEST.customer service. She patiently trouble-shooter various issues, and successfully activated my service! Massive thanks for your amazing customer service. I truly appreciate your efforts.

I just had the worst and most jarring customer service experience (that’s me being generous) at the 75 Maverick St store in Rockland, ME.
I just moved locally and called spectrum customer service to transfer my address and get a new modem and router sent to my new address. The person on the call was lovely and told me that they should arrive a couple of days prior to today (7/29). I then got a notification that the tracking label had just been created two days ago, so I called again to see when I should expect the equipment to arrive as I have work tomorrow (!!). The person on the phone said I should try to get new equipment in person instead so that’s I’m covered for working from home, as the shipment going out had been delayed.
So, I just went in and I swear it was the twilight zone - the most condescending sales associate (I think named Logan, but had blond hair and blue eyes) told me that he could not “modify my order” to which I replied “I don’t want you to modify it, but can I get equipment from you here and then as soon as the ordered equipment arrives I can return it to the store? I work from home and need internet, this is why I planned ahead by calling in 1.5 weeks ago”. Over and over again I was met with “I can’t modify the order”, and I continued to clarify what my question was.
He verbatim said “the moment you reached out to customer service my hands were tied”. Sorry? How deeply unprofessional is that? You work for the SAME company and then you shift the blame to the nice folks who tried to help me over the phone? The immaturity showed through in a major way.
Eventually, another employee (a slight notch about the jerk that was helping me but not by much), told me that I couldn’t have multiple modems and routers at a time. So that answered that, because at least he was talking to me and trying to understand the miscommunication as opposed to staring at me dead eyed).
From there I was asked to sign a receipt, I signed and then realized that this person (the jerk) had me turn in my old modem and router without any replacement - none. After explicitly saying that I work from home and this is a true and immediate necessity.
Then, he said “you can buy your own”. I told him he was condescending and asked to speak to someone else, he pointed to the guy who was the slightest notch above him in professionalism and said “but he’s leaving soon”.
All of this to say - I’m trying to figure out HOW this guy has a customer facing job? He seemed both annoyed and unbothered by the very real issue that this had all created for me (someone who pays over $100/month for just internet service), and ended the uncomfortable exchange by taking away the ONE modem and router I had (I could have gone back to my old apartment tomorrow and plugged them in in order to work and do my job even if they weren’t compatible in my new place). I’ll be staying away from this unfortunate group of employees/store and hope Spectrum actually does something about it because, as you can see, I am far from the only person who has had abhorrent customer experiences at this store.
Yuck.

DO NOT !!!! go into the Spectrum store on Maverick Street in Rockland, Maine. They are scammers. They tried to sell my son the same phone. He walked in there with to have set up with spectrum twice they tried to make him buy a phone that he was currently holding it was the same iPhone, and then refused to set it up both my son and I are already spectrum customers, there is a gentleman who works by the name of Logan Logan. He acts like he works for NASA. He is rude. He refused to set my son phone up. My son is 16 years old. If you go in there with a iPhone already, they will try to tell you that your iPhone is not compatible with any spectrum products. They try to force you to buy iPhones from there even if your phone is already unlocked and ready to go and you are a spectrum customer already had to get someone from spectrum on the phone while standing in that location so that they could explain to Logan that my phone and my son phone compatible sneaky and rude

UPDATE: My billing statement has just arrived. Despite moving with no balance owed. I was charged for TWO months AND the activation fee, for a grand total of $130. They NEVER told me about the extra $50 they would be charging me. Way to make a bad situation worse. My apartment had to be renovated due to an upstairs neighbors bathroom flooding into mine. I had to switch apartments in the same building. Spectrum charged me an activation fee of $30 (the same fee they charged me before) to move 30 FEET. The customer service was kind (hense the second star) and he felt really bad. Not only that, but the internet isn't even that good to begin with, they just have a monopoly on internet in the area.

Don’t ever bother with making a contract with this company. Avoid however you can, any stronger wind you’ll be left out without internet, no one knows how long outages are for, happened for days and days and no one knows to give answers. I’m very patient with technical stuff as I understand the complexity of situation, but for these guys I have no sympathy since it’s again raining and little windy and there is no internet. They know when the storm is coming and do absolutely nothing to prepare for it, and then sit without internet for days. If you’re working from home I highly highly wouldn’t recommend them as your provider, cause it is not reliable and they do not care for customers. Hope it helps to not choose this provider. Be smarter than I am. Check the comments on these reviews, they just copy paste their message to seem like they are looking out for people, while ultimately not doing anything. It is disrespectful and unnecessary, just don’t type anything if you are not able to help.

Since signing up for internet service the second day ended up driving an hour away to replace the router, then had problems with keeping the internet going I called and the person said it wasn't the internet I need to get a new computer, my computer is only two years old my dsughters computer is brand new dell, oh they said my Hewlett-Packard needed replacing, that really ticked me. Then just a couple weeks ago had to drive another hour away to replace the router AGAIN. So I called just a couple days ago to turn off my service, the teck I talked to didn't want me to cancel my service, I said look I want my service canceled and that's it, so quit trying to have me stay, he finally canceled my service.
