2443 Main St, Rangeley“On a recent ATV trip to Rangeley, the Rangeley Inn & Tavern was outstanding. We were in town for 5 days and went their 3 out of 5. It has a super cool vibe and decor, not a sports pub, but sophisticated enough to feel at home having a Manhattan. Which was one of the largest Martini glasses for a Manhattan we have had in a long time, this was a really good drink and the bartender held the Vermouth and just slightly stirred as requested.
The crab cakes are amazing, I'm talking huge, like a hamburger, and the sauce is spicing and spot on....
The braised short-rib was worth every penny, the garlic mash was real baked potatoes and everything was served warm/hot.
Everyone at the bar that we met each time, all were saying the same - one of best meals that have had In Rangeley
Walkability: All of Rangeley is walkable, super easy to stroll and walk around
Food & drinks: Great Mixed drinks and local craft beers and good portions on the mixed drinks”
“Love this place so so so much. The lodge is so charming inside, cozy, fireplace, lake view etc. It's the quintessential timber lodge, cozy atmosphere.
The food and drinks are delicious and the staff delightful.
I stopped in on a dark, snowy, cold, February Wed. night to birthday treat myself. A couple guests and the bartender overheard me on the phone saying it was my birthday....and conspired to make me a vegan raspberry sorbet on the fly, complete with candle and Happy birthday singer!!! I was sooooo suprised!!! Really sweet and thoughtful going above and beyond.
Also, they are vegan and vegetarian friendly here. I am addicted to the grilled carrots?, so delicious!!!
The turn onto their driveway off of 27 can be a bit easy to miss in the dark, so be a shameless pain and drive slow when getting close lol!
It's also the sort of place you can dress casual, or dress the heck up, and feel at home. Both the dining room and bar/ lounge have wonderful ambiance.
Nearby activities: Near Saddleback, Smalls Falls, Height of Land, Mt. Blue, Rangeley Lakes, Rangeley Outdoor Heritage Museum and Wilhelm Reich Museum.
Food & drinks: Vegan friendly ?❤️
Noteworthy details: Wonderful log lodge, lake views, fireplace. Staff very thoughtful, great service. Great cocktails and food.”

2303 Main St, Rangeley“My boyfriend and I loved our experience here. We were desperate for a room rather late at night and did not realize we had found ourselves in an area without a lot of options so we were super relieved when Paula came down to rent us a room. Paula was so kind and gave us some really good tips about the farmers market, views, and other insight into the area which made our trip so amazing. The room was perfect. We will be returning in the winter! :)”
“The hike was phenomenal. We walked the service roads to just below the summit. Didn’t make it to the Appalachian mountain trail this time. The gray ghost hiking trail is more strenuous. We’re pushing 70 and we’re from flatland country so we avoided most of this trail. Awesome view, highly recommended.”
