Big thank you to Beth Scott here in the local Rangeley office. As a new comer to the area I have been desparate to prepare my home for winter. Beth repeatedly went the extra step to guide me on the Dead River programs and services I needed to make my home safe. As a local to the region she also advises me on where I need to go to get all the things I need. A smart and helpful professional, thank you Beth.

We have a place in Rangeley. We walk in this past New Years to a house that was frozen. We had no heat and our boiler was junk. Dead River was out the next day to assess the damage and problem. Within 2 weeks of dealing with adjusters and insurance company Dead River had installed our new boiler. We love the technician Rusty who has been servicing our heating system for the past 7 years. Rusty has gone above and beyond to accommodate us .We had some frozen pipes and furniture needed to be moved around. When all was said and done we walk in the house 2 weeks later and you would never now what had happened there....My whole house was put back together and nothing was out of place. I can accept that people make mistakes, we’re all human and stuff happens. But I am astounded at this company’s inability to take accountability for overfilling a tank and refusing to reimburse or fix what they did. What an absolute nightmare. Do not waste your valuable time or money trusting these guys with anything.

Got to camp and basement flooded so brand new water heater was under water w no pilot lit. Called them and Luke the technician was awesome . Fixed it within the hour upon his arrival . 5 star .

On Thursday they called to inform me that the driver could not make it to the filler neck behind our home due to snow (we are auto delivery). Luckily there was a renter in there for the weekend to inform me that I was about to run out of oil. I have repeatedly asked them to put me on a better schedule after running out once (on auto delivery). I live 4.5hrs away from the home and should be able to make it more than 3 days after being notified that the fill neck needs to be cleared so I can make the arrangements. Furthermore the tenants use the wood stove every weekend so I assume I would be out of oil already if it weren’t for that. AGAIN, I have asked repeatedly to be on a better schedule and now will be paying for a Sunday (emergency) delivery.

I have spoken with Dead River in Rangeley/Waterville on at least 3 separate occasions to switch our account from Blue Flame. Over those 3 calls, I gave them all the necessary information to set up an account, including my SSN, and had scheduled a date to set up the new tanks and have the old ones removed. When I called today to verify some information, they had no record of me, my address, my account, or my scheduled delivery of new tanks. When I told the lady it made me nervous that I had given my SSN and they had no record of me and that I wasn’t very confident with them, she had no apologies. Thanks Debbie! I’ll stick with Blue Flame. They may be more expensive but at least I feel like I can trust them! Thanks for nothing dead river!
