This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay. Milan was and wonderful, caring , personable host who made our stay great! The only thing I would change is I would not stay on the 3rd floor because you have 40 steps from the sidewalk and I have bad knees. Other than that it was perfect! The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. There were snacks and coffee. I recommend staying there.

The inn itself is always kept in tiptop shape. The end keeper was very friendly. The breakfast was a five star plus breakfast enjoyed our stay immensely.

Milan the Innkeeper was so helpful. My car battery died and he got his from his car, even thought he was heading out to play tennis. We had such a great conversation about places, people, culture, travel, and my cousin and I felt welcomed and understood. Thanks Milan, it was so nice of you to let us move downstairs into the cutest room, felt like I was at my own home. Your breakfast was amazing too. Highly recommend this spot for the off the beaten track getaway stay.

The West End Inn was wonderful. From the moment we stepped in, everything was perfect. The room was nicely appointed. Milan and Steven were outstanding. The breakfast was cooked perfectly each morning. We have dietary restrictions, so Steven served us to those. I’d recommend The West End Inn while staying in Portland.

Wonderful stay here. They let us check in earlier before our wedding at the courthouse so we could get ready. Breakfast was great and accommodations were comfortable.

The West End Inn was fantastic! We were in room 5 on the top floor. The room was large, comfortable, and well appointed. The bathroom was spacious with nice amenities. We easily could have stayed longer! Milan was very welcoming and helpful (and a great chef!). Afternoon cookies were delicious and snacks were great. The breakfast was excellent. The location was quiet and in walking distance to some restaurants and shops, but not so much the port. Highly recommend!

This is such a great spot for travelers to come to for a home away from home!This B&B is right outside of downtown with great walkability. Not sure where to go? Just ask! Milan knows unique spots to check out. He also checked us in and made sure we knew where to park. I think we asked like 100 times about parking but he was patient and kind.Or stay in- the inn has super comfy beds with ample pillows and blankets. I'm a light sleeper but slept great in room 1 right off the livingroom area. There's 2 sets of doors and we couldn't hear much if at all. Also breakfast was amazing!!Safety: Locks on rooms and code on front door. Area seems very safe, there's always a dog walker or two walking about! (And parking attendants and crosswalk aids too)Walkability: Very walkable neighborhood and easy to get to downtown just by walking. At one intersection there was even a crosswalk aid that stopped traffic for us!Food & drinks: There's a snack area all day. Breakfast is sweet or savory with coffee, tea, yogurts, etc!

Fantastic B and B.Lovely historical house. Our room had AC, a comfy bed, and a roomy bathroom. Excellent host and tasty breakfast. Walking distance to good restaurants and a lovely park. Would definitely return!

We had the one of the top rooms. While it was a haul upstairs, I couldn’t have been happier with the room! Simple, yet elegant. I was very impressed by how cool they were able to keep the upstairs area during some really hot days over the summer.The service was amazing, from housekeeping to food. The curated wine list fit the bill for us. It set up our trip so well. Without a doubt, we will fight anyone to try to stay in this place again!

Truly exceptional. We had a small but lovely room with everything we needed. The highlight was the breakfast and service. Milan made truly delicious food and accommodated a food allergy easily. It was about a 25 minute walk from the Old Port, 10 to the great art museum. We would return any time.

We had such a lovely stay at the West End Inn this past weekend celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The inn keeper Milan was an exceptional host- from his recommendations, to his homemade breakfast each morning, he went above and beyond to deliver amazing service to his guests. The Inn itself was decorated nicely and well maintained plus in a great location close to everything. 10/10!Nearby activities: Close to all major shops and restaurantsFood & drinks: Wine bar was a nice touch!
