love the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the pizza. They also have a a bunch of local beers and Blanton's for $6!

Love going to this bar. Portland used to be a wicked inexpensive place to get a drink but no more, if you are looking for the best cheap drinks in Portland, best $5 grilled ham and cheese, friendly group, free pool, free popcorn, free darts then this is the place for you. When you can't get a table at Bird & Co. than get your food to go and bring it to the VFW and drink for half the price of anywhere else around. They have great bands, dinners and a function hall that is probably the cheapest in Portland to rent.

One of the best VFW's around! Large bar, Excellent drink selections, Large banquet hall to accommodate weddings and other bigger events. This post always has something planned for activities from dinners, bands, to Latin dancing this post has it all! Bartenders are friendly and the members make it feel like home!

If you're a Veteran who qualifies to be a Member I highly recommend you join. The realities of the VA, Lost Military Records and constant benefit delays or denials is barely scratching the surface of why you need to join and the Service Officers are there to help or just guide you. We earned the right to call ourselves Members of The VFW, now stand up for yourself and your Brothers and Sisters in Arms. Plus, it's just a nice place to go to. Lots of monthly activities and an active Auxiliary Service too. Don't be alone. Be as active or inactive as your time and life allow.
