Have been a customer for 15 years with multiple properties residential and commercial. I have been waiting 2 weeks for "Erin" to call me back about adding another property. Left message after message and nothing. No time to waste with them any longer. I cant do business with folks who cant even take 5 minutes to call me back. I will be canceling my other policies with them.

I've been a customer for decades but the last few years I've found them to be unhelpful, they don't answer the phone, they take their time calling you back, occasionally rude, and they generally are NOT looking out for the customer.I reviewed my business policy after noticing the premiums had been creeping up at a rate of about 10% a year for a few years and looked through the new year's policy and noticed that several changes in coverage I had requested months, even over a year ago had not been made, so I had been paying insurance on equipment and services no longer a part of my business.Then I checked prices for the same policy I was paying $9,300 for from 3 other carriers through a different agent and found that all three were between $5,700 - $6,300, which is around what my policy was costing 5 years ago.this company used to do periodic reviews for their customers, and had previously alerted me to better deals from other carriers, but apparently that's no longer something they do. I take responsibility for not being more diligent, but I did trust them to periodically review, isn't that one of the reasons why you go with a local agent?I'm pretty sure I over payed around $8,000 over the last few years thanks to the hefty gouging I took, so I called to cancel, very politely. My rep didn't seem to care or want to try to retain me as a customer.Thank you United Insurance for teaching me a very expensive but valuable lesson. I had my business, home and personal auto policies with them, and I will never return. 100% would not recommend

They have horrible nicknames for customers. They will ignore client calls, trash talk about nearly all clients behind their back. TOXIC people.

I'm very happy with my homeowners policy from United Insurance. My agent was very efficient and easy to work with. I was very pleased with the policy and cost. I rarely call but when I do the office is very attentive and it never takes more than one call to address my need or concern.

**WARNING**The agents (Kristen Thomas) and managers here are thieves, actively lie and will try to intimidate your family to steal your money. Do not give them a chance like we did.Canceled our homeowners insurance without notice and lied about an additional policy we could have had to cover an issue they misunderstood.When we called to confront them they treated us like criminals instead of asking about how to resolve the issue at hand.This could have been resolved with transparent communication and follow through but management decided the money we paid was better than working with our family.We have since taken a policy with Kane insurance. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are super professional and will lay all your options out for you.
