This morning I visited the Rosemont Scarborough store. The flag outside the store said that the store was OPEN. I needed change but I thought I buy something but found the door was locked, it was 7:50. I knocked and a clerk came to the door and in as an abrupt manner as seemed possible he barked, " we're closed." I asked him was there any way possible he "could Make change for a $20 ." Again in as rude a voice as he could muster he said, "Absolutely not, now have a good day" and closed the door. Now I know your a hip store but possibly you might want to learn a bit about customer service.

Overpriced is an understatement, and bakery is an overstatment. I've had much better experiences at their other locations. There are not a lot of options, and their food storage is iffy. Could be cleaner. Found hairs or fibers in the cheddar they portioned in house. A woman returned a yogurt while I was there because it was bad, and I got some soft ripened triple creme cheese that was not as it should be. I called the company that actually made the cheese after speaking to a woman at this market who told me with confidence that it was normal to be liquefied inside. It was like you put a shot of cream into the a rind, and there was no actual cheese in there! I would have had to shoot it like tequila if I wanted to actually consume it. I don't enjoy paying $50+ on a few items that don't taste good.

Recently went in to get a package of ground beef and a few other items. There were two young men working, one maybe 15 or 16. He made eye contact at the butcher station but walked past instead of offering to help me while the other person in the meat section sliced 4 + orders for another customer. He went to the register and sat on his cell phone, I stood there for ten minutes. No help. Once he was checking out my food I had to ask him for a bag because there were too many items to carry. He opened the bag up and proceeded to not put any of the items in, once I started bagging my own groceries he got the hint and started to help. Rude demeanor. If you're gonna have a bunch of teens running your store you might want to do some education on how to be polite/ give Decent customer service

This is a review specifically for the Scarborough location which does not have a separate page. I like Rosemont, I've gone to several locations many times over many years and have had great experiences, but the Scarborough location is just not it for me, which is too bad, because I don't get up to Portland at all anymore. But when a store lists it's opening time at 8 am and it takes as long as 15 minutes or more to unlock the doors, something is very wrong. And I checked the times, I checked the website and the Facebook page to see if there was a delay or a closure I missed, but apparently opening late is just the standard. This isn't the first time I've left without being able to shop, so I might as well just skip Rosemont entirely in the future. I also almost slipped very badly in the parking lot, which had little to no salt sand thrown down.

They regularly open late, which can matter a lot for people trying to grab a quick breakfast before getting to work.Food is decent, not great, and mostly overpriced - you're paying for the hipster vibes.

I bought a sandwich and a drink for lunch at Rosemont Market and the bill came to almost 20! The sandwich was good but NOT worth 20 bucks! I will never be back...

Adorable market and bakery on the east end. We were staying in a B&B in the neighborhood and visited this spot every day while we were there.Picked up a variety of items, a great bottle of wine some nice fruit, yogurt, water, prepackaged salad, Pastries, baked goods and more.Very friendly people, great selection. I was especially impressed with the variety of unique wines they carried. Wish I had some thing like this in my neighborhood back home!

Incredibly disappointing as of late for me, have always been a huge fan of the store on Brighton Ave. Last Sunday I went in to grab some sliced turkey, to my shock, I watched the deli person pull out ends (and I mean ends) of assorted nature and SNIFF them after unwrapping. Not once, but twice as I was watched in disbelief. Not that there was an entirely new package of turkey in the case...so really? I'm not impressed from a sanitary sense or quality sense. After watching I politely declined at $13 per pound to purchase sniffed ends. Not sure what is up with them but the quality and service has really gone down. Done.

wait what happened to the Wednesday turkey cheddar and apple compote sandwich??@!! Handful of coworkers and i looked forward to this Wednesday delicacy EVERY week. We even had an email ode to it on National Sandwich Day at work that went out to the whole department. This is disappointing to say the least- feels like a family member just passed away, and I'm not even being dramatic. RIP Rosemont Wednesday Turkey Angel
