This is the best place to find that something special for your home. The staff are very helpful with ideas of where or what you can do with your new acquisition. We bought some very nice corbels for a more then fair price. Good thing we don't live close or it would be a weekly drive.

I went there specifically to look at the stained glass, which I liked very much -- most of the windows and pieces were striking. I saw a lot of archaic doors, shutters, doorknobs, sinks and tubs (and urinals). hardware, glass bottles and jars, rusted metal lawn furniture, and so on. They had some nice antiques, but I thought the prices were way too high -- you could find the same thing at antique and consignment shops or flea markets (or even Craigslist) for less. Lots of bric-a-brac that only some die-hard vintage 'junk' enthusiast would like, and even the prices for those pieces were ridiculous. But, it was very interesting! I've never seen anything quite like it.

What a great spot! If you love old houses and history the way we do this is a treat. In a world of vinyl flooring and particleboard from big box stores, PAS is full of hand hewn beams and stained glass. The owner is a delight. Will be be back soon!

This place is amazing! So many things to see. Owner Alice was extremely friendly and helpful. As an interior designer, it was helpful that measurements were written on most of not all of the doors and windows. Can’t wait to go back!

I just moved to Portland and wanted check out the place. You could spend hours looking through everything. Yes, some prices seemed steep, but they were willing to negotiate. I ended up purchasing a once in a lifetime unique carpenter box, which for me, outweighed the price tag. The owner also lent me a sealer product, to take home, so I could coat and protect the piece. Extra nice touch.

Such a cool place but is very very pricey. I even picked up a few items (like a toolbox) and such that were broken and selling above what I could find it as new. Not sure if a lot of the things are priced because they are rare? Anyways, prices take the joy out of it and are "vintage" prices, not what youd find at another "salvage" shop.

My husband and I fell in love with a beautiful island from Portland Architectural Salvage last month. We purchased it and brought it home but unfortunately, even after measuring, it was just too large for our space. We held on to it for a week in hopes that we could make it work but we ultimately couldn't. I thought, "there is no way we can return this," but my husband called anyway and Alice was so understanding and graciously gave us a full refund on the item. This level of customer service and understanding was SO appreciated. Alice went above and beyond for us and we will definitely be back in the future!

Fun, 3 levels. My grandkids enjoyed seeing old things that we still have today but used differently.

As I was working out of my home this past year, I needed more space. So, I commenced with taking down the wall that separated the living room from the dining room. Alice suggested I use the big beam and the side supports (which are still in their tree form) from an old barn in Massachusetts. This is the result…Thank you Alice!

This store is full of amazing treasures. I wish I was redoing my house so I could install all the beautiful old faucets and door knockers. I bought some great old postcards and some beautiful glass bottles. An afternoon well spent.
