This was my first experience buying a custom fitted suit, and the results were perfect. On my initial visit to the store, I was measured and given a close template suit to try on, which as evaluated for modifications for my specific body type and posture. I was shown a wide variety of fabric styles, patterns and colors to chose from, and 6 weeks later, it had arrived in the shop, ready for a fitting. There were a couple final adjustments needed for the pants, which were completed in 30 minutes, and I had my new suit. I was so happy with it that I immediately ordered a second one in a different color. Doing some basic internet and YouTube research on the process, time frame and pricing, I knew what to expect - and was not surprised or disappointed. The shop itself is a family owned, family run business, and a long time fixture of downtown Portland. I chose to try it out based on these reviews, so I’m happy to add mine to the list of satisfied customers.

Wonderful men's store in Portland Me. Somewhat Small with carefully selected pieces. We've been there twice and always walked out with purchases. They seem to have a dedicated clientele. We are from Connecticut. Now to the owner's attention. She is a pleasure to work with. Extremely knowledgeable of her product lines. Also has a great seamstress in her mother. This is the kind of small business that we greatly appreciate.

By far the best custom clothier I have ever used. I have had several custom pieces made there and each one looks fantastic. I fly there from far away to get my custom suits because it is worth it!

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING. We are treated like family at peter Rennys and the experience we have every time we walk in, is flawless. We came in looking for a custom suit for my fiancé, for our elopement, 5 weeks from when we were eloping. They ordered the suit and 3 weeks later we came in and they tailored it RIGHT there and we had the suit within 15 minutes!! Always very happy customers leaving here (:

My brother and I went here today to try to find a suit for his somewhat spontaneous wedding (3 months from now). At every other store we went into, we were kindly urged to make decisions quickly if we were going to get a suit by the wedding. The clerk at Peter Renney’s sneered at us and was sarcastic and mean when we told her our situation. We felt extremely awkward and unwelcome.

Been going here for years. Family run, high quality material, attention to every detail and a staple in the Old Port for high quality menswear. I have several blazers, suits and ties I've gotten over the years which are still in great shape!
