(Harvey/Carter) after barely surviving ?? Walmarts and the dreaded Walgreens that is chronically understaffed in Old Orchard—I can’t say what a relief this pharmacy has been. My favorite nurse has a great working relationship with a head pharmacist (younger man) at this pharmacy. They’re incredibly kind and caring. I know folks likely complain that they aren’t open on weekend but they truly make up for that with how hard they work every other day of the week. They are big on advocating for you, trying to always make sure your medications are filled ahead of time, and treat you like a human all the time. These might sound like small things but they aren’t! You’re seen & appreciated, folks! I wish I knew all of the names. :) the 2 young women who have always checked me out at the counter are totally sweet and good natured. I love that no one there takes their moods out on the general public. This pharmacy stands out for being kind and personable

I have experienced the absolute worse customer service I've ever encountered. From representatives not realizing they didn't get it and insisted on droning on wasting time. I was actually refused a transfer by one helpless individual. Martin's point does not deliver what they promise

where to begin... this company obviously does not provide very good education and teachings to their employees. I have had them for approximately 10+ years and it has been an extreme headache. If you live out of net work, and they promise you reimbursement, I promise you, you will not see your money. Every time you call and speak with one of their employees they tell you something different. It is very upsetting and frustrating, and because they are an insurance company owned by the government. There is nothing you can do about it.

Too much pain, they don't know when to stop hurting people.

This is regarding their mailing medicines. I called in a prescription and ask them to rush because I would run out in a few days. I did not receive them within a week so I called him again and he said they’re sitting there waiting to be picked up by the shipper. I called again the next day they said the same thing. You’re very unreliable and need some superior guidance. It should not take eight days to fill a prescription when our local pharmacies can fill them in one day.

This review is specific to the mail order services at Martin's Point. I am a prescriber and sent a prescription on behalf of a client whose insurance required I go through their services. Several days later, with the client in my office, I called to follow up on the status of the shipment. I was told that they had just discovered the prescription from several days earlier and were "putting a rush on it". Confused about what it means to have a "rush" put on something, I asked how long we would typically anticipate a refill to take, I was told from the time it was transmitted, they would take 10 TO 14 DAYS to even fill the prescription, plus another week for shipment. I don't prescribe meds because my clients want them, or because it would be nice to have them, I prescribe them because they are needed. If this were life saving medication, they would probably be dead before this pharmacy could figure out how to process an order by the time frames their staff reported to me. It was shocking.

i had MP Health care because i use Martin Point Gen Advantage Insurance. Love the insurance so i thought this would be a great decision to use their health care in Portsmouth NH. Initially I loved the doctor, but after using this care, i discovered some upsetting things....THEY USE A PHONE BANK...even though you call an office, and in my case use a different area code to NH...it all goes to a Phone bank somewhere in Portland! Think about that...no real contact with the office staff! simple questions get routed to a phone bank and then get answered later, as they do not have the information being miles and miles away!! LOL....And on top of that, many agents you have never met, have access to your health records...you give a birth date..and all your info is right there!! scary!! and in the case during covid, many agents had your info in their home offices!! again...privacy?I was even told after calling what i thought was NH that they had NO NH office! omg!! apart from that ...your portal is not always answered!! another sad lack of communication!finally...they do not confirm appointments!! like every other doc office and even PT offices! i had to call to confirm the day before..only to find my appt had been moved to accomodate the doc lunch schedule! Had they called i would have approved a 1/2 hour delay...but no call..no notification....no regard for the patient, this is how MP Health feels about patients....no caring..no communication! with the primary care docs a problem in Maine...they think they can get away with it!! NO...i gave them up without a doc! a bit scary..but enough! fortunately got another care system!,

The on-line check in system does not seem to be working. I was notified to pre-check in for an appointment which allows you to edit any patient information that needs revising. After attempting to change pharmacies/marital status the update wheel would just spin and never take any of my new information. Suggest reviewing the user functionality of the on-line check in system.

You don't see doctors. You see "providers." This is corporate health care. This is the MacDonald's of health care. You call, you have to listen to an annoying piece of music while they are experiencing "longer than normal wait times." This happens every time you call. Mistakes. They make them. They experience more than normal mistake time as well. Unless you're totally good at advocating for yourself and read up on medicine before you go there, don't go there. Their new office in Brunswick has the staff complaining to the patients about the terrible design. Really. It's that bad. For those of you who don't want the United States to have universal health care, go here. It's made for you.

I love my doctor at Martins Point but everything else, not so much. Every month there is a problem getting my ongoing prescriptions filled. I requested one a week ago and it just got sent in today so I ran out. The nurse says they sent it and my pharmacy says it's not in their system. The other huge problem is their phone system. Be prepared to be put on hold every time you call, sometimes for a long time. This is not a Covid related issue because I've been going there for a long time and it's always been impossible to reach them by phone quickly. I think they are trying to force you to use the portal. The building is nice and well kept and as I said I like my doctor but they need to fix some of their internal operations.

Read through the other reviews and you will see a pattern. This is a scammy, shady, corporate example of everything wrong with healthcare in this country. The ultimate shame is that Martin's Point actually discourages people to go to the doctor and stay on top of their health. They are not transparent with their billing and have awful customer service when you do get an odd charge on your bill. I had an agent in their billing department who didn't even bother to call me back when she was looking into an issue. If I had not followed up with them it probably would have been sent to collections. This is the only doctor I have ever been to that fully stands behind charging their patient a $350 new patient fee TWICE. I was not told I would be charged that fee when I was in the office, it just appeared on my bill months later. When I was there, none of the "new patient" procedures were run through and they insisted the charge was justified due to "national guidelines". You are not a person at this doctor, you are a dollar sign. This is the first online review I have ever left. I am writing this in the hope that it hopefully deters someone else from falling into this trap. If you want a doctor that cares, an office that doesn't try to rip you off every chance they get and a medical experience that does not leave a bad taste in your mouth, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
