101 Exchange St, Portland“One of the first places I wandered into when I moved to Portland earlier in the year and thought it had a special selection of home goods then. I recently had to amass several serving pieces quickly for a cocktail gig at home with short notice. I went in and got superb help from the staff who were helping with sizes and shapes and textures as i described what I was serviing and how I wanted to serve it - it was a genuine collaboration and when I walked out, I had every piece I needed for cheese, bread, Thai meatballs, charcuterie, etc etc. The team obviously has tremendous style and knowledge and presents a perfectly curated (i rarely use this word btw) collection of homewares to choose from. Great for yourself and for gifts, i highly recommend this place. Im just going to have to control myself and not go back every week! Ha. Many thanks Folly, keep up the good work keeping Portland stylish!”
“Mike provided fantastic customer service - he was very quick to respond to our many questions and to make numerous adjustments as we went through the journey of selecting our bathroom fixtures!”
“I use Distinctive Tile & Design for residential and commercial projects and I am continuously impressed by their high level of professionalism, fair pricing and impeccable quality of work. In today's day and age, working with a contractor who possesses a high level of integrity is priority #1 - and that's Distinctive in a nutshell. Thank you to Larry, Jason, Jeffrey, Theresa, Hunter and the entire DTS team.”
“Sorry about the initial low rating, pocket opinion. I had a great experience ordering and purchasing a water heater with one exeption, getting Dexter on the phone afterwards. Has anyine ever managed that task?”
“They have Andersen doors and windows, and several isles of tools if you’re a homeowner. It looked like they are remodeling their showroom when I was there. There is also a big commercial lumber yard for builders and contractors. Nice, helpful people. Great experience.”
“The kitchen store has all you need to equip a new kitchen or to add to your collection. They have spices, oils, and mixed packets. Color matching towels, oven mits, and aprons. From mixing spoons to whisks to spatulas. Mixing bowls , serving bowls and plates. Knives and cutting board made from different materials. 2nd floor has baking dishes, pots, pans, griddle, stock pots, and cast iron. There are small appliances. The prices are high. But they are high end equipment.”
