Bad customer service and they do not disclose full details of the cost. I was overcharged twice for the same booking. I can not get anyone on the phone and when I email customer service all I got was a “sorry”

Had great service from the team here. Everyone on the front desk staff was warm and welcoming, even though I arrived well past 11PM. Car was clean and ready to go. The team made pick-up and drop off very easy.

Can't seem to get a callback from manager Ollie at this location. We have rented through Hertz many times previously sadly this location left us with a horrible taste in our mouth and I'm not confident we will be using Hertz in the future. We arrived at Portland jetport waited almost a full hour for a Tesla key we were waiting on that got handed off to someone else instead. By the time we got the key the manager Ollie apologize and said he would allow bring the car back at 10% charge, which we did but still got billed for. On top of the clearly rush detailing job.. (car was filthy, stains, sticky wet cup holders, everywhere, my husband has photos immediately after picking up car, feet prints on the glass and blue stains on seat)...disgusting. my biggest gripe of all was not legally being rented the car my husband and I rented from you guys, half way though our trip chill mode was activated, drastically reducing performance and battery life and was ultimately not the same car we agreed to rent from hertz. We called corp and this location, And both said it was a new feature that could not be removed. So in top of awful customer service and experience this also sounds like some legal trouble over rental agreements. Is this how you treat all your gold platinum members? Disappointed and I hope this generates a reply for me since I have not had any luck so far.......fingers crossed for me reviewers that hertz makes this right!Update: been over a month and no response from Hertz...they have failed at their customer service, both corporate and locally after multiple attempts of outreach. Highly disappointed was hoping this review would generate something as a last chance to salvage long time customer but I guess not. guess we will take our business and personal travels to Alamo ?♀️

Oh I thought this is a good quality standard of the services as I know it from europe but now I am having horrible experiences in Baltimore so I have to apreciate how good service it was in Portland. Quick and I got all I wanted and returned the car intackt and got my deposit back. This is how it should work. I wish all rental agents were so helpful and easy going

one of worst Hertz experiences I have ever had...long line...never got car I paid for (and I am President's Circle -- whatever that means) ...and low end car I got was dirty and slighty dented and noisy.MIne was a business trip with clients. Embarrasing.I left my favorite blue patagonia bathing suite in car (100 percent my fault) and been trying to reach this branch for THREE WEEKS. phone just rings and then is disconnected. I even sent them a note in the mail.use any other car rental BUT this one.Good news is I have had very good expereince. This location is just a D- IMO.

Anna and Vini deserve customer service awards!Enterprise has misbooked me from Portland, OR instead of Portland, ME. Their customer service team threw their hands up and had no way to help. The enterprise manager couldn't even be bothered to come speak to me.I walked over to Hertz where Anna had me in a car in 5 minutes. Unfortunately, I got on the road and the car had an issue with the undercarriage. I turned around and again, Anna and Vini had me in a car within 5 minutes. No muss, no fuss. I hope the management team at the jetport sees this because they really deserve all the good things!

Get your wallet out.Whatever you are quoted and pay for your rental. Expect another 3/4 that amount in bogus fees and hidden charges.I rented a Tesla for 3 days and just got hit with an additional $140 in fees for no apparent reason.One was for “late drop off” charged an extra $60 because there wasn’t an attendant in the parking garage, so I had to go wait in line to return my keys. Which I went to the GOLD line which is supposed to be faster for being a member. Return time was 10AM. I got to the counter finally at 10:10AM. I could have extended for the entire day for an additional $40.Then you have the fee. The fee fee. The fee for having a fee fee. And somehow after all of that. They charged over 28 PERCENT TAX ON ALL THE FEES.Fees of which you pay at pickup, and apparently at drop off as well.Airport licensing. Concession license. Registration fee. All paid at pickup and then again for much more at drop off.What is this place?I highly advise going to any other rental company in the same lobby.

Outstanding service. Carol worked with me when I picked up a Tesla Model 3. She was kind enough to explain to me where the best Tesla superchargers were in town. She also very carefully described the drop off procedure the next day. But best of all, she communicated extremely well when I dumbly left my mobile phone in the car early the next morning. She and her manager Jeff made sure I got it back the very next morning. Great location and great service here.

I booked a Tesla months in advance and was excited for the experience, but then it wasn’t available when I showed up. I was instead provided with a Kia Niro EV which turned out to be a fine electric car, but it didn’t come with the standard mobile charging cable, and so operating the car in a very remote location was difficult. The Kia was great but lack of access to the Tesla Supercharger network made our long road trip much more complicated than I was expecting. The staff were friendly and professional and the car was in good shape, but it wasn’t what I reserved which drastically changed our experience.

Showed up to retrieve a vehicle, all out...no cars available. Waited for at least half an hour so far with about 30 other customers. No information available other than rumors in line. Horrible customer service. Where is Seinfeld when you need a car? They took the reservation but they don't have the car. Atrocious.

We rented thru Orbitz w/a confirmation to pick up @ the airport - when we arrived, the counter insisted the reservation was in downtown - was RUDE & ABSOLUTELY UNHELPFUL & sent us into the cold in a town we've never been to, thousands of miles from home without the least bit of compassion or empathy to try to help instead of simply fixing the problem!These guys are horrible - DON'T RENT FROM HERE!!!

This location was very helpful during the airline cancellation debacle of June 2023. Airlines put all passengers in a bad spot, but we found this Hertz location to be extremely helpful. Glen, was the best and great to work with. He was quick to get us on the road and helped us to make arrangements when the airlines let us down! Thank you Hertz and Glen.
