I always have an excellent experience at H&E. The techs are friendly, knowledgeable, and offer excellent service. If you have an issue like gel polish lifting, they’ll schedule you back in and fix it for free. The City Center spot is my favorite, there’s always fun music, laughter, and an all around chill environment. I refuse to go anywhere else.

Everyone is so welcoming and helpful! I am always pleased with my manicures and pedicures and appreciate everyone’s patience when it comes to me deciding on a color! I have been coming here for a few years now and each experience is better than the last! Additionally, this place is very hygienic, which is evident from the moment you walk in all the way through the disposable nail filers and buffers. I highly suggest coming here!

Love coming here! The team is so friendly and they all know my name. My nails always look great and I haven’t been anywhere else since coming here in 2021 for my wedding nails. Emily is the best.

H&E is the best nail studio in Portland! The staff are welcoming and fun and they’ve gone above and beyond for me numerous times over the years. This is a great place to get nail art done as well - so much talent ❤️ I usually see Jess or Emily, but you won’t go wrong with any tech!

I’ve been going to H&E since 2014 and truly could not imagine having ANYONE but them do my nails. If I could give them
10 stars, I would. They are so attentive to detail, artistic, clean, accommodating, the friendliest and sweetest staff, and the complimentary wine/prosecco/mimosas is the topper for an already luxurious setting, making it even more top notch! My sister and I have started booking our monthly appointments together over the last year and making it a sister date. Thank you to Wendy and Emily specifically for being SO amazing!

I'm from out of town and right before I left on vacation one of my nails broke. I walked into H&E without an appointment and explained the situation. Although they were completely booked and I didn't have an appointment, they graciously worked me in! The service was wonderful and quick, and Emmeline was the absolute sweetest! Highly recommend this salon to anyone!

My friend introduced me to H&E as a present for my wedding and now I realize the importance of good manicures. So relaxing when you get there. And even as a guy you can fit right in. They take care of you, fingers to toes if you want. Highly recommend the pedi and massage. Wow!! Staff is so nice and they do a great job to make you look great. I might have had some fun last time and had them paint my toes gold for my beach vacation. This time was just a mani with a buff.

One of my fav spots for a relaxing pedicure. Always greeted in a friendly manner. Always offered a mimosa or a beverage. Pedi chairs are super comfy. Everyone does a nice job! I don’t think you could go wrong. I brought my boyfriend in for a pedicure and they made him and myself feel cozy and comfortable. The owner Emily is incredibly kind and professional. She was handing out head bands that they were clearing out from the sales rack as gifts to clients. I happened to over hear her client come in 30 min late to her appointment and she still took her with patience and professionalism. Working in the service industry you don’t typically see that flexibility. You can tell she cares about the business as a whole and wants to make people feel taken care of.

I came here for the first time a few weeks ago and got a gel manicure. 4 days later they started coming off! I reached out to the manager and they said they would fix my nails for free. When I arrived the tech recommended another type of gel as it would last longer. She cut my nails so short she actually got into the quick! Extremely painful. They made me pay the difference as I got a different style gel. I reached back out to the manager about my experience and she said they don’t offer refunds. Fast forward 6 days later- my one nail came off completely and my others are following suite. Cute salon but awful quality nails!! I’ve been getting my nails done for years at other salons and have never had this type of experience . After reading other reviews , it seems like this happens often. Big waste of money and time.
