630 Forest Ave, Portland“Best halal market in Maine, everyone is very courteous & attentive. They have a eclectic selection of; spices, fresh meats, desserts, perfumes, hygiene supplies, etc. When my friends from out of town visit they always ask if we can come here!”
“So far from my native lands, I've struggled with an inability to find real comida Latina in Maine. This store does not check all of my requisite boxes and I was mysteriously unable to find stuff like soft corn tortillas (at Shaws and Hannaford's you are lucky to get some flour tortillas in a plastic bag), but I did find most of everything else I needed. It's a tiny store, but chock full-- everything ranging from your basic Goya or American-Latino products to more exotic imports.”
“Best provisions & butcher around. Incredible value for the quality & knowledge surrounding their products. Will always go to Pat’s for our butcher needs.”
“I was fascinated by the warm and welcoming atmosphere at the market, and ended up purchasing two boxes of Turkish coffee, a baklava sampler, as well as beef Shawarma and Egyptian-style wraps. They bake the wraps fresh daily, and they were incredibly tasty! When I went to pay for my items, the gentleman at the counter offered to give me a tutorial on making the coffee since I had never done it before. It was an incredible experience!”
“"If they don't have it, you don't need it". Great selection for the island market, right by the landing of the Ferry lines. Hannigan's is also the island's delivery folks.”
“Great Cambodian market with lots of Khmer products available— frozen lemongrass shoots, dried fish, tamarind paste, num ansom, etc. Helpful owners and kind staff.”

“A great neighborhood spot for groceries, produce, wine, meat, fresh bread or a cup of coffee. They have it all in a cute store tucked into the corner of Pine and Brackett. It was a badly needed store in the West End and much appreciated by locals. The staff is friendly and accommodating too. Highly recommended.”
“My experience at Rosemont was AMAZING!!!! Definitely recommend this place to everyone. The two employees Finn and Dante were very helpful in my selections and were very kind and considerate. I will be coming back soon!!!!”

“Great little grocery with a lot of variety. I'm a chef in the area and the coop is one of my go to spots to get ingredients for rounding out last minute ideas, or when we run out of something. I like their pre-made burritos and different sodas too for a quick pre shift meal to go.”

295 Forest Ave, Portland“Based on the recommendation of a local, we stopped to grab some lobster from the seafood section that they steamed up for us. It took 20 minutes to get seven lobsters done. They do not provide drawn butter or steam up corn or anything else, but this was helpful nonetheless.”

268 St John St, Portland“Save a lot is an amazing store. I miss having one here in NH it is an amazing store that helps families get loads of groceries for an amazing price. The only store where people low income can feel like they can supply their families for a month at a time that isn't restricting on their wallets. If I could request one thing it would be that Save A lot come back up north to new Hampshire. The only downfall some may have is that they use boxes for you can pack your goods of you can buy bags for 10 cents each, but worth it for the price of food.”

787 Riverside St, Portland“Really impressed with this Hannaford. As a Portland area person, of course my first thought of Hannaford is Forest Ave - but since my office moved over to Riverside, I've frequented this Hannaford quite a bit. Sure, their selection is smaller - like, a lot smaller - than Forest Ave, but what they lack in selection they make up for in customer service. The folks at the deli are fabulous, and through all this virus craziness, they've been very clearly diligent about cleaning/sanitizing/ensuring their customers feel they are doing their due diligence. I went through a checkout the other day and the cashier was great - switched gloves between customers, used sanitizer - she was friendly and gracious when I apologized I even had to be there to get anything!! They've got a hot bar, salad bar, bakery, and produce - what else do you need?! They also have a great selection of Amy's organic frozen meals, which is my go-to. Really fab location.”
8AM - 10PM
2 Somerset St, Portland“Good location! Good selection overall, wish there was a larger bulk section for spices, teas, and other dry/pantry goods. Love when businesses can support zero waste efforts!”
“This is a small shop with Everything that anyone of African descent would need. They sell different kinds of African and Caribbean food, drinks, hair products and self care products. It is a self contained galore for the African community in Southern Maine. The owners are wonderful people and do good business. I always enjoy coming here to buy braiding hair (mesh).”

1364 Congress St, Portland“Visited the store several times while in portland. Good selection and prices given our induced inflationary times:)
Staff was friendly and asked me if I needed to find anything.
A great plus is they partner with other grocery chains nationwide, and my rewards number from thousands of miles away gets me the deals here too.
All good

She told me it would be about 25 minutes and they were getting pretty busy at the moment.I arrived and was greeted by her at the counter, she again was very pleasant. The food was great! The steak and cheese was perfect, and you can’t beat there price!”
