Bought a nice Vermentino from the shop today. Selection is really impressive and the shop itself is beautiful. Owner was helpful and it was fun hearing how the shop came to be. Will definitely be stopping in again!

My wife and I stopped in on the fly and enjoyed a flight of Beaujolais. The one woman show that is Grippy Tannins, regaled us with some of the history of the wine as we sipped. We highly recommend this spot.

Loved this place. Lyndsey the owner is friendly, flexible, efficient, and tells great "wine stories" (terroir, producer, grapes). She is super knowledgeable and passionate. Everything is from small producers, generally low intervention. She has the classics in place, but if you want a slightly more funky natural wine or pet nat then you're also in good hands.

Had a really great time visiting this shop for an afternoon drink with some friends. The vibe is bright but cozy, the owner was very helpful and fun to chat with, and the wines were really really well curated. I can't wait to come back and explore some more!

5 stars! I took a friend who is new to wine and we were hoping to get a flight of wine while passing through Portland. Lindsay was incredible and answered questions while we worked our way through the flight. The selection is great. This is not your average liquor store or even wine store. You could tell when speaking with Lindsay that she cared about the wine and had expert knowledge all around. I would absolutely go back!

I’m very new to wine and wine tastings, and the owner was very helpful, explaining what each wine was and gave the history and background on where they originated from. 10 out of 10! I would absolutely come here again. Great wine from the tasting list that they had.

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at wine bar. Wine list amazing- had classics but also surprises- the South African Grenache blanc and the Northern Rhone-esque Santa Barbara Syrah were some of the most memorable wines I’ve tasted.Also Lindsey was very happy to indulge us and answer our nerdy wine questions- I learned quite a few things!Throughly impressed with Lindsey and her establishment, will absolutely be back next time I’m in Portland.

We visited Portland for a birthday celebration and visiting Grippy Tannins was the highlight of our whole trip! The owner, Lindsey, was extremely knowledgeable and even included some wines that I mentioned I loved on the tasting menu for the week! The care and pure love she has for the business shines through and now my only dilemma is trying to find a wine bar near me that is even close to this caliber. I know it won’t happen so we’ll be back to visit soon! This place is a gem!!

Wonderful wine shop we ducked into during a little rainy afternoon. It was such fun "Touring Portugal" with the owner sharing her knowledge while we enjoyed our tasting. Such a great experience!

Me and my boyfriend did the wine tasting. The woman (I believe she's the owner not sure) was so nice and knows so much about wine and history. I can tell she really took her time choosing which wine to feature in the flight. I ended up buying about 5 bottles of wine because I was so impressed and she told me she handpicked all the wine in the store.. so far I'm loving the choices.

Great wine selections, owner is super knowledgeable and very willing to explain things. I had the charcuterie board with my ancient wine tasting and everything was AMAZING! Will def be back next time I am in Maine!

Friendly, knowledgeable owner. A wide range of wines, including Greek varietals that I’m unfamiliar with and look forward to getting to know. The atmosphere is minimalist and hip. There’s a tasting menu that I look forward to trying.
