I brought a necklace made of blue beads (possibly turquoise) to Folia to have restrung and refashioned into a new necklace. They belonged to my mom, who died in August. She wore the original necklace about 45 years ago. Leika remade the necklace; in its new iteration, there are knots between each bead, and seven additional gold beads. It is so beautiful. I really appreciated the care for this sentimental object, the process of creating the new necklace, and the fact that it can be worn so often now that it has been reconfigured. This is the third piece I have brought to Folia over the past 8-10 years, and I highly recommend their work!
