I took my cats to Cascobay for years. The past year I was disappointed in the Vet that took my cat back for hydration and she came back all flustered saying she couldn't do anything. My can be aggressive when in pain or scared. This Vet should have asked for an assistant, put on the leather Vet gloves and do what was needed. Never Cascobay Vets again!

I have used Casco Bay for all of my furbabies :-) They have always done the very best in treatment. Pets are always treated with the best of care.

After being a long term client here, today I asked for them to urgently renew my cats prescription food and that we would be in as soon as possible, but I have had a severe health crisis. They denied the prescription and said they couldn’t legally dispense it without a current patient/veterinary relationship. First off, there is no legality around prescription cat food. At all. This is a lie. This is simply specific to their practice. Not only were they unwilling to work with me based on extenuating circumstances, but I was misled for years regarding my cat food and as it turns out, it’s available in multiple nearby towns without a prescription. Because it’s cat food, it just has the word “prescription” on it. I don’t know if they vet is share holders with the food company or something of the sort, but denying senior cats their prescription cat food until they’re able to be seen (when the owner is newly disabled and cannot travel alone now) a blatant health hazard.
This same food is available on Amazon, and locally at the Scarborough Animal Hospital, Yarmouth Vet, and probably numerous others. This was highly disappointing and I’d appreciate if my pets health were held at a higher value than an annual appointment fee.

I brought my senior cat Sandy in for a check up and all staff we interacted with were very kind and welcoming. I had no major concerns other than age and they were so gentle with my cat and gave me things to watch on her. We received the exact services we came for and price was quite reasonable for exam and rabies shot. Thank you.

They're nice to the people they're nice to the dogs and they give good care. Realistically that's the absolute highest compliment you can pay to any veterinary hospital. That's all the important stuff.
Now for some extras. I have a big scary dog he's sweet but also somewhat protective of my spouse but pretty calm around me. Even during COVID when people were for the most part asks to stay out they recognized that my dog is very manageable when I'm in the room and not as manageable when I'm not in the room. Rather than forcing us to drug him before bringing him in they made accommodations to allow me to come in so he would be calm and easy to deal with. Can't say how much I appreciate this. He gets really sad when he's all doped up so not having to do that to him meant the world. They could very easily have just told me to drug him, this was a pretty big thing for them to do for me.

I have a 9year old dog and a 4 year old cat and have been going to Casco Bay Veterinary for their care since I adopted both of them a few years ago… I have nothing but praise for their care, compassion, knowledge and treatment of my beloved fur babies… from nail trimming to a torn ACL where they referred me to MVMC in Scarborough to their orthopedic surgeon who was wonderful!! I love how they both work directly with my TRUPANION Pet Insurance and has been a blessing.

Staff is incredibly friendly. I never feel pressured to make a decision I'm uncomfortable with, and always feel confident in my choices based on the knowledge of the staff. So glad Casco Bay takes care of our pets!
