About Fort Baldwin State Historic Site
Fort Baldwin State Historic Site is a World War 1 coastal defense fort built in 1908. It offers a wonderful excursion with plenty of beautiful and historic sites to explore. Visitors describe it as a great experience and so much fun to explore. There is a small parking area and an easy walk with a slight uphill to get to the forts. The tower is chained and locked, with no access inside. The area features a great beach for walking, a few picnic tables, and port-a-potty toilets. It is dog-friendly, but dogs must be on a leash.

So much fun to explore this fort! It wasn't busy so we were able to take our time and enjoy seeing every available room as we moved up the hill
