This little place is awesome if you want to do your own car wash quickly. Mossy, I don't know if he was the owner or not but we were completely out of cash and he helped us out with a few quarters for the vacuuming. Hats off to you thanks so much for that. Definitely use these guys!

Good car wash I've been using it for a year now. They recently installed credit card machines at the washing station. I was skeptical but went forward and used it. The machine told me my final bill was 5.25 but they charged my card 10$. Not the biggest deal but they got me for 4.75 extra and I had a feeling something like that was going to happen. I probably won't be returning. Not saying they're scamming me but it's hard not to think that. I'd rather not be paranoid that my preferred car wash is going to steal money from me.

+ plusCar wash is self service, if you prefer to wash it yourself.Luckily they accept credit cards (only) at the wash bays.- minusThe vacuum machines only take quarters.Because of this, you may have to exchange cash for quarters at the quarter dispensing machine. However, DON'T put a $10 bill in the machine, since no quarters dispense, in my experience -- even though the machine shows it accepting $1s, $5s and $10s. Fortunately, there was someone on duty to return the money and give change. Good luck trying to get your Hamilton back if there is no one working when you're there. The owner/management should...(a) fix the machine so that it takes $10s and dispenses quarters successfully(b) remove the signage to show that it doesn't take $10sor(c) add credit card slots to the vacuum machines... after all, we are in 2020In the meantime, if you happen to ask the person working to break your $10, make sure you get the right amount of change. I would've been shorted $1 had I not been paying attention. Beware.RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: Instead of making excuses, please focus on improving your business by adding a credit card machine to the vacuum machine. Also, please wear a mask in the future.

This is a terrific place that allows you to hand wash your car ...and it's cheap too! The only negative is that their vacuums aren't the best ... but, they're not horrible either!

This was my first time using a self-service car wash and it was simply awesome! Just pull up into an empty bay (or wait for the next one to become available), insert your payment, and wash away! The system and tools were self-explanatory and very easy to use. I also appreciated the fact that they took credit card payments vs having to insert a bunch of coins. The only reason I took away 1-star was because the blow dryer was not as strong as I would have hoped. It took me a while to dry my car off since I did not bring any towels. Lastly, they have a vacuum station in case you want to clean the inside of your car. I was hoping that service would be included like other car wash locations I've been to, but if you want to use the vacuum station, you have to pay $1.25 in quarters to use the vacuum. They have a dollar/coin machine nearby in case you need change. Overall it was a positive experience though and very easy to use. I will be back!

COVID-19-related review: Observing four other patrons ahead of me today (5/18/2020), none were wearing face coverings. Now, you might argue that this is inherently a socially-distanced activity, so no big deal; but my counterpoint would be that it is also a highly-aerosolized one, with high-pressure water usage spraying all over the place, and a strong ocean breeze that blows the spray even further. It is also a somewhat high-touch environment, given the nature of the hand-washing tools and control panel. The employee or owner on-site was wearing a face covering, and was doing a solid job sweeping and keeping an eye on things...but that person also came closer than 6' from me as I was finishing up my wash and attempting to get in my car to leave. I wish he'd waited 10 seconds to let me get in my car and by on my way, rather than swooping in right next to me. Suggestion to owner: advise staff to give people an extra-wide berth, and to err on the side of letting the sweeping wait a bit to let customers exit. Post signage reminding customers that face-coverings are now mandatory in Santa Monica for all outdoor activities. The car wash itself is good: fair price, easy to use, machinery worked, quick in and out.

Very nice self service wash. Credit card payment is really convenient and I love having the ability to use the blow dryer. I'll be back. Thanks.

I wash my car here fairly frequently. It's cheap so that's a big plus. It's fun to do but I think I don't do as good of a job as professionals. Also the dryer feature is a little weak so you should bring your own towel.

This was my first time here. Came on a Sunday. It was fairly busy, but not insane. I patiently waited in line while a couple people in front of me washed their cars. When it was my turn, I pulled in & started the process of washing my car. Randomly, this employee approached me and quite rudely said "hey you can't do that!"... I was taken aback by his tone and quite confused, as I was just washing my car. I replied, "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean." He immediately jumped to anger and told me if I was going to use my own scrub brush & not the one provided in the bay, that I could find somewhere else to wash my car. I was very surprised by this immediately anger reaction on his part. This was my first time here, so I wasn't aware they don't let you use your own car brush. There were many other ways the employee could have said this to me or politely informed me that it was against their policy. I was shocked he was so quick to yell and jump to conclusions. I was paying to use the bay & paying for the water & soap just like everyone else. Maybe it was naiive of me to bring my own brush, but I'm new at this self-wash thing. I only used my own brush because the one they provided was extremely dirty. I was also told it scratches the clear coat on the car! Either way, I was polite back and told him I would stop using my own brush. The employee then proceeded to constantly stare at me while I finished the wash AND stared at me the entire time I was in the vacuum area. He made me very uncomfortable! Even after I obliged at his barking orders. Because of the employee, I will not be coming back. Ladies beware!!

MOZZY the manager/owner is absolutely, hands down MY HERO!!! I was hectically, on the run to make an appointment, but I knew I needed to vacuum before that (I drive Lyft! so, a clean, dust/dirt free interior is integral to my customer service as a driver)! Since it was a last minute hurried decision to vacuum car, before I got to my appointment and then work, since I wouldn't have time to do it after, and most places close early too! ***I didn't have cash on me, only card*** I was at a loss, as to where to go get coins for the vacuum, since I'm new to the area and not familiar with most places to run errands around there! I saw MOZZY and asked him just for the vacuum, explaining how I only have card! As soon as he explained the machine only takes cash, I was frazzled looking around, dreading that I'd have to drive across to Whole Foods (Park/wait in line, Buy something I didn't need JUST to get cash!) I turn around and he ***LITERALLY HANDED ME $2 bucks cash*** (the vacuum is $1.25! So I gave him .75 cents back) I just couldn't believe this however small and simple gesture of generosity, yet a charitable, helpful, practical act of offering nonetheless that TOTALLY saved me the time, pain and hassle to go get cash elsewhere, and came EXACTLY when I needed it the most, when I'm on a time crunch as it is already, but still GOTTA get the car vacuumed anyway! This is the kind of hospitable, genuine, humane way of running a local business that is far eclipsing in today's digital, emotion-less world!!! And one that had customers coming back and becoming long time regulars!!! BRAVO!!! Not only was MOZZY super incredibly open-hearted, helpful and accommodating, but the ***VACUUM itself was high powered and high-suctioning, efficiently & effectively getting all the gunk/dust/leaves/shoe dirt etc. outta my car floor/mats in RECORD TIME*** Seriously, I was prepared to have to do it again and run the machine for a second time, (dreading I'd have to go through the hassle to get cash anyway!) to clean/vacuum my floors thoroughly ***but at ^Magic Wand Hand Car Wash^ you SIMPLY don't have to*** Their equipment and vacuums run THAT powerfully I was sincerely in shock and greatly pleased, through and through!!! That's RARE!!! If you are ever in the area, or a LOCAL like me, having just moved in the area recently, then ***DEFINITELY give this local vintage spot on Lincoln Blvd in VENICE/SANTA Monica a try and SUPPORT your local business owners*** Keeping the neighborhood spirit alive and well, with excellent customer service and stellar equipment! Really truly grateful overall and for MOZZY in particular, truly a solid gent (who also shops/eats at Erewhon, turns out... as I uncannily bumped into him, there!, later on the SAME DAY*** and YOU KNOW that anyone who goes/shops/eats at Erewhon is LEGIT!) I'm looking forward to coming back for a wash!!! Thank you Magic Wand Hand Car Wash and MOZZY Happy 2020!!!

Can somebody contact me.. the machine didn't run correctly and I was getting charged for minutes even though nothing was coming out of the hose.. I checked with people next to me and they said there sprayer was producing a lot different effects than mine was and then when I tried changing it to different settings nothing would happen until half way through the wash.. for example I had put it on rinse and then pre soak.. I was half way around my car if not more before the hose start coughing and then I noticed the green or pink foam coming out.. Then the same happened when I went to wax.. I was pretty much half way around my car before it started to spurt and then I noticed the color change and so I had to repeat all of these things at least twice not to mention the tire foam thing I never even got to work.. I tried all three hoses and brushes and each one of them did nothing and then once I finally gave up because I was being charged by the minute I then went to switch to the high pressure soap and all the sudden the water came out really weak and in a weird color which I'm guessing was the backed up tire stuff your not supposed to get on your paint yet it started splattering and pretty much coughing this stuff up before going dead and then suddenly being thrusted full of the soap and water.. I'm upset because it even says not to get that stuff on the paint of your car which I did obviously and I feel like 3/4s if my time was spent waiting for the actual substances to kick in and start working and feel like I was kind of ripped off and cheated in order for the machine to just rack up extra time? I would really appreciate it if someone would contact me because I stopped working on my car half way through just because I feel like I am being cheated and charged extra money by this machine and now am upset because I'm gonna have to go and pay for a completely other car wash somewhere else.. what a bummer I was really excited about this place too And yeah when driving out just now and looking at the other cars getting washed it's night and day the difference between the amount of soap suds they are getting and have all over their car compared to anything close that came out to mine.. this is a joke

I was never happy about $30 car wash from other regular car wash places. Maybe I am just too much of a car wash snob. I am happy to find a self car wash station where I can make my own car shining and spotless within 8 -10 mins. The cheap cost is just a bonus! The only downside is sometimes you have to wait in line if on a busy weekend. And also, I wish their vacuum could also be credit card operated.

This is a big city, but here you get above average rather than "just what you pay for". I want to wash my own and few are as clean and welcoming as this. Well functioning machines, they take credit cards and the bays turn over reasonably quickly. I will go back. Best I've found so far.

This place overcharges me every time I've went. At the machine it says it's charging me about $5, and then on my card it's for $10. They've done this three times.
