Tom did a fairly major kitchen renovation for us that included structural changes as well as cabinetry and associated tile, plumbing and electrical work. We couldn't be happier - both with the progress updates and completed work. Tom had done a bathroom remodel previously and it was completed just as professionally. Enthusiastically recommended.

Tom is an exceptional craftsman and a very talented carpenter. My husband and I are Realtors in Midcoast Maine and have complete confidence recommending him to our clients. As a matter of fact, he just completed a beautiful job for clients of ours in Owls Head and they are thrilled with how it came out. Tom is also a really great guy, he's easy to talk to and very kind.

We highly recommend Blue Spruce Joinery and Tom Higbee! We recently did a kitchen upgrade -- new cabinet and drawer fronts (all built by Tom), all new appliances, new counters, lighting, sinks and more.Most people dread kitchen remodels, but Tom was wonderful to work with. He’s very good at what he does. He’s thoughtful and meticulous about the details, shows up when he says he will, works hard, cleans up after himself, and is very easy to get along with. I asked for a drop leaf sewing table with wheels that was a specific size and height when open and Tom made exactly what I asked for. I have used it for several weeks and it is perfect for what I need. I can take the legs away, attach them to the center cabinet wall and fold down the top for compact for storing. This is the best most sturdy sewing table ever.Service: Custom cabinets

Tom Higbee built me a new closet interior. He is the easiest contractor I have ever worked with and a true craftsman. The finishes are extrordinary, the design is beautiful and functional and I am thrilled with the results. I now make all my guests come see my closet. I love to show it off.

We needed some ornamental elements on our barn replaced, as well as a few other things. Not only did Tom do a wonderful job, but he was also a pleasure to work with -- quoted promptly, started when he said he would, and finished early and under budget.

We have a large glassed in porch that was unfinished until Tom put a beautiful pine ceiling in and completed the shingle on the inside walls. It is now a focal point of our house, a place where we and our guests spend a lot of time three seasons a year.
Tom also built an outside staircase up to the porch and hung a new door that is functional and good looking. We needed a walkway down to the water and Tom designed one that was exactly what we wanted. We would recommend him for any job, big or small.

Tom Higbee owner of Blue Spruce Joinery, is one of the top craftsman in the area. He can craft furniture, build a home and do just about anything with wood. He builds with the environment in mind, building green that is.
He built and installed our custom cabinetry and they gets glowing reviews every time someone see them. I would recommend Tom and his work to anyone who wants the best. Also Tom is a great person and I would recommend his work to anyone who wants that special something in their home.
