“First pizza we got here when I first moved to the area was burnt and not very good… However asking locals they say the best pizza comes from this place so we tried again tonight. We got a basic large pepperoni pizza and a small cheese stuffed bread stick. AMAZING! Not to mention it was $20… Price made it that much better and we will definitely be back again. Charming little store too! Lots of homemade goods ? and great staff.”

“We were into this store a few weeks ago to cash in some winning scratch tickets for new ones. When we got out to our car the guy running the register came running out to let us know that we forgot one. We appreciated his honesty. Today we stopped in and tried to add a car wash while at the pump but it was not working. My husband went in to ask why and they said the car wash was down. As we were getting ready to drive off the cashier ran out and handed us a free car wash coupon and said that he didn't want the broken wash to hinder us from coming back again. The staff here has been very honest and friendly. It is nice to find a business that cares so much about customer service and we will definitely be back!”

“I’ve been going to R & K for years. Not only is it convenient, the staff is great, and the food is very good too. Yesterday I decided to stray away from some of my favorites and let me tell you I wasn’t disappointed. I wish I had taken a picture. I had the breakfast quesadilla with bacon. It was DELICIOUS! It came with sour cream and salsa and the flavor was fantastic. Will definitely be ordering this again and sorry that I’ve been missing out on this until now.”

“I have a difficult time believing that anyone has had a negative experience at the South Main Street location. Perhaps they got it confused with the Bangor store that is known to be messy and have less than friendly customer service. The manager at Big Apple South Main Street takes great pride in the cleanliness of his store and always values the importance of customer service above all else. I am in there at least 4 times a week around 6am. Coffee, creamers, etc are always full, store is always clean and staff is always welcoming. I truly believe the woman who left the negative review last week has this location confused with another. Thank you”

“I personally think this is the best Shell station throughout the areas of Bangor, Brewer, Old Town, Hampton, Holden, etc. The store is very clean, staff friendly and kind. And the one thing I noticed as well recently to share is that I log my gas intake, cost and miles before fill-up. THIS station seems to have good fill-up. Let me please explain: I went to another Shell in the city. I won't say where as I don't believe in slandering stores. But I started at 58 miles at fill-up. I paid $28.00. The gas cost was $3.12. but my fill-up only went to 328. I drive the same milage everywhere. Yet at THIS Shell, I filled up with 80 miles to start. The cost was $3.14 (more expensive this time throughout the city). My gas went up to 350 miles in the reserve and I only paid $25 (the only difference between a 56 mile beginning fill-up and an 80 miles fill-up is 22 miles!). I should have had more gas at that other Shell station. My point is that I don't feel ripped off here at all. I question if others have a way of doing this. According to my records, my guess is, "Perhaps they do." It almost always seems my tank ends up MUCH FULLER when I go here. Plus their bathrooms are always clean and pizza fresh! I've been to some other Shells...well, I won't go there. Thank you Shell Wilson Rd.? I think you're awesome!”

“I like my local Walgreens because they know me and know most of the needs for my.medicine. the ine big draw back is it takes forever for them to full a prescription. Waiting hours from the time the pharmacy opens to fill 30 pills is really unexceptable but I do stay for the personal reasons. Walgreens in Brewer was much quicker. I have been considering leaving greens for a quicker service. I live out of town and when I am td a specific time, I pay for gasoline then told another other is not a good practice. Needs improvement on the time of services rendered.”
“Deb's Variety truly does offer a variety of goods and services. First of all, the gas prices are very competitive with others in the area. Inside you'll find a wide selection of liquor, cold beer, a decent wine selection, plus your usual corner store beverages. They also have a small automotive section with different oils and car accessories you might need in a pinch. There's a selection of snacks and other grocery items also available. The hot food is also quite good. They have a fantastic deal where you get a 1.25-liter soda with any large pizza. Speaking of pizza, it's not bad for a gas station. The crust and base are pleasantly fluffy. The sauce is quite good and the cheese is pleasantly toasted. It's on the greasy side but has a good garlicky flavor to it. The french fries are a real winner. Both the standard and curly fries are crispy, light, and flavorful. My vegan wife likes the veggie sandwich as well. Finally, the people that run the shop are nothing but polite and friendly. I can recommend Deb's Variety without a doubt!”
