We recently spent four nights here as we toured southern Maine. We have stayed in a lot of places over the years and this was likely our favorite.
Peter and the staff were so helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The amenities including fresh baked cookies, scones, sangria were huge perks.
We stayed in barn suite 2. Cannot say enough great things about this place. If you are considering staying here, just do it!

This place was amazing! From the amazing staff all the way to the cozy pool/hot tub area. We came here for our baby moon and we definitely were satisfied and relaxed the whole time. It was just what we needed before our baby girl comes in 2 weeks!

What an amazing hidden gem of an inn. We were greeted by Peter and Missy. Peter took us on a tour of this beautiful inn which was a barn at one time. The decor was thoughtful and classy making us feel at home immediately and very welcoming. Peter takes a lot of pride in this spectacular inn as well as he should. The homebaked treats were delicious, and the complimentary drinks sitting by the fireplace in the common room was cozy and comfortable. Our Barn suite was warm, cozy and immaculate. Clean as could be. Our stay included breakfast which was delicious each morning and again greeted by Peter who much to our surprise was also the chef! . If you need a place to relax this is it. Driving distance to downtown but you are given a parking pass by the inn so that you can park for free. What more could you ask for? We can't wait to go back for another weekend getaway, but in the warmer weather so that we can enjoy the outside grounds. Thank you Peter for your hospitality.
Rooms: Cozy, luxurious rooms. Double sided fireplace to enjoy in he sitting area and in the jetted tub.

Our favorite getaway spot!
The Gazebo Inn is my absolute favorite Couple's getaway spot. We have stayed there 5-6 times, and my husband and I even eloped there back in 2011. It just feels like home. This time we took two other couples with us for the weekend, and they couldn't get over how wonderful the accomodations were.
Every room at the inn is comfortable and inviting. It is extremely clean and well maintained. If you like a good splurge, book Barn Suite 5. We always try to stay there when we can. It's is on the 3rd floor with its own private entrance. It has a large sectional, kitchenette, Jacuzzi for 2, and a huge steam shower.
We love that the outdoor hot tub is open year round, and the large, comfortable library is available for our group to hang out in and play games together.
Peter and Scott and the rest of the staff are always friendly and Responsive. They have great packages with local restaurants for dinner and even offer transportation!
The breakfast that's included with your stay isn't your average continental breakfast. Each day there were 6 different kinds of hot coffee and a full breakfast with the freshest fruits and all the fixings. They have pancakes or french toast or breakfast sandwiches each day along with fresh meats, eggs, and scones. Absolutely delicious! They even have fresh cocktails and snacks available all day long in the bar area.
We love it there and can't wait for our next trip!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Scott and Bruce and their crew are the loveliest bunch of folks and they consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special. The hot tub (largest one in the state of Maine!) was a dream and the steam showers were even better. We absolutely will be returning :)

Absolutely incredible bed-and-breakfast. Truthfully probably the best accommodation we’ve experienced in the US with its amazing amenities, incredibly comfortable room, and excellent breakfast. Peter the innkeeper was very present and made sure our stay was absolutely perfect. The close proximity to footbridge beach allowed for beautiful winter late morning walks on the beach. This was an amazing romantic getaway I would recommend to anyone.

My daughter chose the elopement package and I had the honor of being a witness. The inn is elegant and comfortable. We toasted her wedding in the lobby.

We booked this inn for our wedding in the fall of 2023. We specifically booked this inn for the elopement package they offered. Our overall experience was wonderful. Scott was very helpful with the details of our special day. Our ceremony was held on the Marginal way which was beautiful. It was so nice to be driven there and back and not have to worry about anything. We really enjoyed the dinner at Clay Hill Farm, it was so romantic. Overall it was an amazing experience and we are so glad we chose this inn for our special day. The staff was very accommodating and the inn is very beautiful. One thing I would recommend to anyone who chooses to have the photography option of the elopement package, is to plan out the pictures you want for your special day. I would plan specifically with Peter to ensure those pictures are part of your package. I would also ask to review the pictures as they are being taken to ensure it meets your expectations. Being so wrapped up in all that was going on that day, we did not plan out specific pictures and just went with the pictures that Peter took that day. We ended up being a little disappointed with the end result. Some of the pictures that were taken are beautiful and we are very happy to have chosen this inn. We are planning to go back each year to celebrate our anniversary.Walkability: Great location with an easy walk to the beach and to downtown.Food & drinks: Many great restaurants and bars in the area. Loved the food everywhere that we ate.

You would never know from the outside, but this is an old 1850's farmhouse. It has been completely remodeled. The rooms have also been remodeled, and they have time period furniture pieces in the rooms. The owners and the staff make a point to be sure you are comfortable and have all that you need for an enjoyable stay. In our case, they offered an elopement package, which all the staff made it absolutely fantastic.Rooms: Quaint rooms with all modern necessities.Nearby activities: Marginal Way coastal walkway

Scott (the owner), Peter, and Missy helped me and my husband realize our perfect wedding. My husband and I chose the inn's elopement package. We wanted to keep our wedding day simple and small, but still sacred. We also wanted to spend our wedding weekend at a comfortable, friendly, luxurious place in a town we enjoy. The inn's website has pictures and 3D tours of the inn which are accurate. We chose one of the suites. The shower was its own exceptional experience (rain shower head, jets on the walls, steam room capability, two seats), the bed was massive, with beautiful carved posts, and comfortable. I loved the little zones within the room - small breakfast nook, kitchenette, bathroom, small living area with a leather couch, leather chair, and TV. Missy gave us a tour of the inn when we arrived which was welcoming and helpful (there are many details and spaces to know). The grounds and various common spaces all fit the homey yet luxurious aesthetic. Even Scott's homemade breakfasts are served with barn house-style hammered silverware and orchid blossoms on the plates. Every touch is lovely. Our wedding day was perfect. We had a tasty breakfast. I went to get my hair and makeup done and my husband got ready in the room. We picked up cake and flowers. We had two guests (they allow up to four) who helped us with the preparations. In the late afternoon, Peter and Missy drove us over to the Marginal Way where we met the officiant and our guests (who had been given parking instructions by Scott). One of our guests took a video with a streaming camera and Peter took photos efficiently. The inn provided champagne for a toast at the inn and set out our cake. We wrapped up the evening with a four-course dinner at Clay Hill Farm arranged by the inn. If you want a small wedding on the ocean or a stay in a friendly, homey place, go to Gazebo Inn.Rooms: The rooms are comfortable, attractive, and full of thoughtful amenities and design choices.Walkability: Very close to Footbridge Beach and a safe and enjoyable 20-minute walk from Ogunquit Center.

The staff and facilities were everything we had hoped for. This was the perfect spot for our anniversary getaway. I tend to be a little over-critical when we go away, but I didn't find a single thing at this establishment that wasn't 100%. I'd give more stars if I could.Rooms: The rooms were VERY nice. Overall, I felt like the in-person experience was even better than the online pictures. Comfortable beds and amazing showers. Everything felt rustic, but not at all outdated.Walkability: Only a few minutes walk from the beach. Very close to all of the little shops and restaurants.Food & drinks: The breakfast menu was excellent! The lobby area offered different drinks and snacks each day. Great quality coffee, too!Noteworthy details: The on-site couples massage was top quality.
