I've written more detailed reviews of major failures in the past but deleted them because, on occasion, they do a good job. This I will not be deleting. I came through the drive-through this afternoon to get 2 meds that were supposed to be ready. I thought it would be o.k. because I was the only one in the drive-through. I had just come from work a few minutes away and was in my heavy work clothes. My phone said it was 87 degrees with a "real feel" of 98 outside, so I can only imagine what my car was right after work with my weak AC. The woman could see I had my window down. After she ignored me for I-don't-know-how-many minutes, I started timing with my phone. It was another 4 minutes. She'd done stuff on the computer, left, and come back 2 or 3 times. When she finally picked up the phone, she said nothing at first, so I said my name, DOB, and address. She said in the slowest manner possible that I would have to reconfirm all that once she got my medication. Also, only one med was ready, and not the critical one with one dose left. She said she could fill it if I wanted to come back in half an hour. I decided to wait and make a special trip to pick up both at once tomorrow after an interaction of about 5 minutes (not including all the waiting). I felt like I was going to pass out if I stayed any longer. As a testament to the conditions, the candy bar I'd brought from work just minutes away had melted in my pocket (unopened, thankfully).
I know this woman is not a doctor and wouldn't know that one of my meds makes passing out a real possibility, or that my skin condition is triggered by heat, among other things. But she had to have known how hot and humid it was, seen that I had my window down (I also had my car off because it was on E; I don't know if she could've seen that my car and hence AC were off), and seen that my face was discolored from the heat. I can understand taking one person at the counter (I didn't see if she did) before getting to me. But ignoring me for as long as she did, mostly right in front of me on the computer, was horrible customer treatment given the conditions. Then, to dilly dally and speak slowly after she picked up the phone was cruel. The med not being ready was partly my fault for not calling ahead to ask that it actually be ready on time. I don't know if the 30 minutes to fill was justified; there's a lady I get sometimes who's actually good at customer care, and she's filled a med in 15 IIRC.
This pharmacy is lucky it's the only one in town, and that it has a few good employees. For those reasons, I try to forget about the fact that they're terrible more often than they should be. They literally have a sign admonishing customers to be nice to the employees, and that makes me believe most people must say (or yell) what I'm usually thinking. If the service were usually good, I can't imagine that sign would be necessary.
I apologize to the good employees for this review. I wish they were all like you.

The employees are rude and unhelpful
When insurance info is giving they do not know enough to run secondary insurance if the first doesn’t cover a medicine.

Thank you Walgreens for filling my prescriptions via sending text messages. Appreciate your service despite most of the bad reviews. I work retail and I think it's quite disgusting how people treat the the retail industry. Ever since covid, it's a very me world. Very selfish and mean. Everyone is short handed and doing the best they can. So thank you Walgreens for doing the best you can. ❤️

When calling to see if they have a specific product, a machine gives you the runaround for 5 minutes. Absolutely terrible.

I needed a tetanus shot which I was told I could just walk in and get when I called. I have now been waiting over an hour. After completing paperwork, I was told to have a seat. I informed them that I am a registered nurse and completely qualified to administer the shot. I also offered to provide them my nursing license for confirmation of that. After approximately 1 hour of waiting one of the pharmacy techs came out and asked for my name and could I please tell her what it was that I was waiting for. I answered all her questions. Shortly after that the pharmacist stuck his head out into the lobby where I was waiting and asked me across the room if I had my medical records from when I last received a tetanus shot. I told him I had not received a shot within 10 years and that was in an emergency room somewhere and no I did not have the records with me. His response was "well it's kind of iffy if you don't have your records" I told him that I did not believe most people carried emergency room records with them from visits that happened over 10 years ago. I also explained that my doctor had attempted to call in a script for me to receive a tetanus shot but was told there was no need to do that because I could just walk in and get one. His response was "hmmm well I will give it to you". He then disappeared back into the pharmacy. About 10 - 15 min later I was called up to the register to pay for the shot I still had not received..Finally 2hrs after arriving I received my shot!

I went in to buy a Jitterbug phone as they were advertised as being available to buy there. Didnt have any. Shouldnt advertise that you carry something if your not going to have any. NO ONE that I saw that worked there was wearing masks.

I've stood in line, then asked questions, then asked to fill out form with same questions. I now have been here for 35 minutes. The person taking care seems to have drank too much coffee and is rude.

I called Walgreens to refill an older prescription. Our last refill was 1.5 years ago. The tech was very nice and said they had no record of it. I spoke with the pharmacist who said the same thing. I said, that's strange as I was picking it up there for over a year. I was confused but not rude. He hung up. The pharmacist is extremely rude and unprofessional. Never mind the fact that i find it unbelievable that they have NO record a prescription we picked up EVERY month for over a year. I will never use them again.
