We went here on a really hot day this summer. The one thing was there wasn't much relief From the blazing sun. Menu was delish service and drinks were good too. A fun place to sit and watch the world go by. We will return!

Just best to start with my experience. Came in with a friend from the mid west to try the 6 different oysters they advertise having online, having spent the day travelling and looking forward to trying all the local varieties, only having Heron Island was more than disappointing. My friend enjoys the heavy brine and I could do with less, but not having my oyster completely shucked was a surprise, took a shot of brine and had to bite the oyster off the shell, awkward and painful in a lot of ways. I had overheard the waitresses talking about the oyster thing and that the farm was feuding or having issues so they weren't able to have any new oysters like advertised. We also got the lobster rangoons and soup of the day (apple parsnip soup). The rangoons were not worth the price by far, the taste was okay but not worth the $16 price tag, the soup my friend had called it very hot applesauce with cubed parsnips, so if applesauce is a soup to you might be alright. Service was a little sparse, not rude but not really attentive considering the Yurt everyone is one. And speaking of, the yurt is the only something good there we experienced and was 100% not worth the trip there, the time spent, and the money spent.

Well, in. the deep freeze, having some oysters and wine in a yurt! The Shuck Station turns out two yurts in the winter to keep the home fire burning (literally, wood stove heated) whilst the oyster-crazy like me continue to search out Damariscotta River oysters (kind of ground zero for Maine Oysters). They also have a modest menu of other items and are open THU-SUN only. Im told by end MAR the yurts come down (where do the yaks go?) for the summer season. Cheers to them for being creative. Many thanks to the staff who were all lovely and helpful.

If you are a fan of oysters then this place is a can't missEdit: The fact that it is almost impossible to even get in here most of the time is a good endorsement of how good the food is. However, if traveling through the area and considering a stop I would highly recommend calling ahead to check the wait.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking and seating accessible

This place is fantastic! Awesome variety of cocktails and drinks, and a unique menu. The oysters were incredible, and the tuna bao buns were amazingly good! Service was on point and very friendly. Already looking forward to getting back!

The best oysters and beverages in Maine. We came during the fall festival and it was slammed. We had to wait for a table but the bartenders were quick with a cocktail while we waited. Service was awesome when we sat and the food was even better. Kid-friendly and adult friendly place. Plenty of parking if you are driving through.

Incredible oysters, great staff, delicious food, great ambience, live music most of the summer, plenty of shade, non-alcohol and alcohol drinks, something for everyone. I love this place. Check them out!

Service was great! Atmosphere was fun. Oysters were fantastic but horseradish sauce was overly salty. Also ordered the chowder which had plentiful fish but was laced with herbs and also very salty - not a fan. Seared scallops were nice and fresh but oversalted. Fried scallops were delicious once we pulled some of the breading off. Overall, seafood is good and fresh and the service was very friendly and efficient. But, for the price and the sodium level, we're not sure if we will be back.

Walked in at 4 pm on a Friday. Not too busy. Host pleasant. And that's where service ended. No one came to our table for 15 minutes. Observed others getting their orders taken. Not us. I got up asked if we needed to place our drink and food order at bar? Told we will send waiter over. I asked for them to send him asap. Nope. So we got up and left. The waiters where too busy chatting among themselves. I've never witnessed such poor service. Maybe the should train a Waffle House and learn something.

Save your money, taste of the river was disappointing. The Dodge Cove oysters were a joke....no oyster, just juice. The shucker gave us a 5th to make up for the size, which didn't help at all. Why serve if you already know they don't compare to the other varieties? Makes me question everything else on the menu. Had a guest in town and thought it would be a fun way to sample the best of the best, nope.

Delicious! So fun to eat outdoors right where the oysters came from. Lovely setting and fries are amazing as well. Lots of good drinks on tap definitely worth the stop.

The food is very fresh and the beer is cold. They often have live music outside. The ambience is just so so. It's sort of next to a gas station. It can get incredibly busy here, which I suppose is a good thing in that the food is going to be fresh and it's a hotspot for a reason. However, it can take a long time to get served. So if you can visit at a slower time, that would be highly recommended. It's also fairly expensive, but hey, you get what you pay for.
