The trainers are wonderful & professional at this gym. Barbra keeps me on track and is COMPLETELY AMAZING with an injury that I have & making necessary adjustments to keep me from getting hurt. She truly cares!

Been coming here since I was a little kid. On a clear day you can see Mt. Washington in the distance. The pool is luxurious and the bowling is always fun.

YMCA in a great location with good views. Weight room equipment is rarely clean and rarely serviced. For instance, their EZ Curl bar in the gym broke on me while loaded with weight over my head.. an employee watched this happen and laughed at how lousy the bar is when I brought it over to show him. After chuckling about the extremely unsafe equipment he did nothing and the bar is still on the gym floor available for anyone to use! Most, if not all, of the free weight equipment will leave your hands covered in rust. They make virtually ZERO attempt to correct the issues in the weight room regardless of how many times it's brought up. Lastly, they do not have a single employee even slightly educated on weight lifting, or even any familiarity with how a gym functions (hence why they call it a wellness center). The basketball court is great but virtually every single ball they have is either deformed or flat. The staff is very friendly and can be very helpful depending on what you need from them... Overall you're far better off going to the Casco Bay YMCA over Pineland.

The staff are super friendly at this YMCA. There's a large gym for basketball, a small heated pool, and candlepin bowling. The candlepin bowling has a lot of technical problems, but the staff are always willing to let you use a different lane.
