Sat. 4 .6. 24. Gas is 3.49.... 15 cents higher than the local competition, I understand free trade, but this seems like price gouging , doesn't really affect me , i wouldn't go there if they paid me

There is a reason why people call this place “ The Big @$$ple”Well it’s a gas station so I will be somewhat easy on the review here.Very limited drink selections , always the same stuff Pepsi, Coke, root beer , and chips, and a VERY LIMITED automotive needs supply selection ( oil, antifreeze, overpriced windshield washer solution, etc.)While this place constantly raises prices and uses trick advertising to get you to come in and then to your surprise surprise , they are either out of that item, never stocked it, only carry this and not that! And quite honestly for a ““ locally owned and operated company ,C.N. Brown , they certainly do nothing to contribute back to the local community as far as community drives or sponsorships go.While they do the typical fundraisers where they constantly ask customers to donate a dollar to get a paper apple or shamrock with customers name written on it and put up on the wall- but that’s just to get the customer to donate cash and use those funds to garnish a tax break for CN Brown at the end of the fiscal year all on the hard working backs of their customers dollar bills- does CN Brown even match this or make a contribution on their own? )There are many other fuel stations and variety stores around so I usually skip the Rigged Apple and hit up an Irving or local mom and pop instead because it’s less expensive , has better deals and no waiting in line.Oh yeah speaking of waiting in line do not try to go to one of their stores at midnight and purchaseAnything because their computers all shut down for 20 minutes while “ auditing the system” forcing customers to wait at the pump or in line with their items until the computers start back up to be able to pay for fuel or drinks and with a 1 am cutoff on beer and liquor sales it really makes it a pinch point for consumers! And one last P.I.TA. thing that the Big @ssple forces their customers to endure is waiting in line every time I go to the register and am told “ oh , hold on, I have to make a safe drop”The computer systems here know how much cash is in the register already , before I even go in so why wouldn’t it be programmed to have the employee make the safe drop before I enter the store and not after I make my selection and go to the cashier just to be told “ oh sorry” , “ I need to make a safe drop” and the customer has to wait yet again another 3-5 minutes while the employee does this before being able to make the transaction. It certainly is an inconvenience to the customer and forces the employee to open the drawer while the customer is there even if they are paying with a card! It literally is stupid and is more or less a tactic to have the customer babysit the employee to verify they are making the drop into the safe and not into their pocket or something… why else would the company have them do it then and not before the customer even enters the store ( especially after the last transaction was made the software is well aware of the cash amount in the drawer!) the only other logical reason would be that CN Brown wants people to be in the store for longer periods of time, thus picking up more overpriced limited stock merchandise to fatten corporate’s bottom line. Either way it’s a nuisance and can be avoided by programming the register to make the drop after the last sale, when the customer leaves the store , when the store has no one inside usually except an employee! Ok I’m done here with the rant!

Every night they have to shut down the registers for 15-20 minutes which is fine. They just don't bother posting a sign or saying anything. So I wasted time picking out snacks, carried everything up to the counter, then stood there waiting for the guy manning the register to acknowledge me. When he finally did, he told they weren't going to open for another 12 minutes. I was on my way to work and didn't have time to wait so I put everything back and left. Definitely won't be stopping there again. How do you not tell someone your registers are closed?

There is only one good cashier in this location and he is worked to death. The manager is a nosey lady who'd rather gossip and pry rather than screen qualified employees. And the other cashiers act as though you're bothering them when you ask them anything, complete with ete rolling and sighing. Not the best place to stop first thing in the morning ?

Price on shelves mislabeled and they won’t change it. Manager came out spoke to employee quietly and said I can’t change prices then grabbed my stuff and walked away. I asked what the issue was and he said She said I can’t change prices. Didn’t even bother to ask if I still wanted them

I was a regular customer until today, but after the experience I just had with the cashier I won’t be back. I always love the regular employees that work here. There’s no reason for the way I was treated today. I honestly can’t even believe this person has a job here if that’s how they treat customers. We all have bad days but that was just something else…

Usually a good little convenience store. Close to home. Has gas, drinks and essentials... when they have their coolers stocked. This seems to be a problem lately but otherwise they usually are pretty good.
