This is a truly spectacular "gallery" featuring very high quality art by recognized modern-day artists. Creative works include paintings, furniture, and sculptures. It's impossible to escape the Gallery without "falling in love" with more than one of its offerings. Check online periodically for public receptions they host for featured artists!

This place appeals to two types of people: artists and woodworkers. The collection is constantly changing, and the variety of artwork is refreshing and generally provides something for every taste. Unlike the Bar Harbor galleries, the proprietor, Tyra, provides a nice greeting, then lets you peruse on your own. Gallery owners in general should learn that art and fine woodworking speaks for itself and needs no interpretation. Tyra gets it. I wish others would.Stop by more than once a season to catch the newest offerings.

Beautiful. Very expensive but very high quality art pieces and art-furniture. Like a mini museum. Friendly staff as well.

Visited this lovely establishment with my mother the day before their annual grand opening on May 15th. We happened by just as the owner was pulling up to do a few last minute preparations. Nonetheless, she was kind enough to open the gallery for us. It was a marvelous chance to see some local artists as well as really impressive work from all over. This shop hit the right mix between images of the surrounding environs and assorted pieces. The furniture collection was amazingly impressive as well. All in all, a worthy experience to elevate your time in MDI.

We always bring our summer guests here, as well as our own visits throughout the summer for the two of us.There is always new art, both paintings and photography, and furniture. Prices cover a very large range.I especially enjoy the one of a kind custom furniture. The designs and workmanship is excellent. We just do not have any more room for anymore. If you are looking for artwork or custom furniture this should be your first stop on Mount Desert Island.I have been especially excited to view the fine furniture work done by prisoners that is on display. There is limited parking by the gallery. It can be a challenge to get in or out during afternoon MDI style “rush hour.†But, it is worth it.

Across the street from the replica Monet bridge and museum, is a private gallery that is beautifully curated. An oasis of good taste and nice break from the touristy stuff in Bar Harbor. Beautiful views on this drive from white picket fences, duck ponds, boat launches. Very picturesque.
