“We were introduced to this speakeasy while on a culinary tour. We came back on our own later and enjoyed drinks, conversation and expert advice on the local area from Darrin, the bartender/owner. He is a tremendous entrepreneur and his establishment is a hidden gem that deserves your visit.”
“Visited Bar Harbor during the off season and were lucky enough to stumble upon Little Village Gifts. They had a great local selection, helpful staff and great prices. The store owner helped us find the perfect items to take home with us to help remember our visit. Our youngest even struck up a conversation with the owner about her art! Overall a friendly little store that didn't feel like we were buying things made in mass production.”
“A true artisan boutique with a lovingly curated collection from which you can bring home beautiful and unique Maine memories! I searched through dozens of Bar Harbor shops looking for a pair of touchstone earrings to remind me of the peace and joy I felt in Acadia this summer. Finally, I found delicate, handmade silver earrings shaped like blueberry leaves in My Darling Maine. Perfect!I wore them to work my first day back - and lost one. I was heartbroken. But I contacted Victoria to buy a replacement, and she took the time to send me individual pictures of every pair of blueberry leaf earrings she had in the shop (because they're all unique!) so I could choose. And then she mailed them to me in Virginia. Now my beautiful blueberry leaf earrings are a sweet reminder of our family vacation in Maine AND of the power kindness can have over loss. Thank you, Victoria!!!”
“A must when visiting Bar Harbor!Everything about Oli's is top notch. Ordering our tours was super easy online. Friendly reminders via email were so helpful. We arrived for our first tour super early as we wanted to secure a parking spot (not easy to do in Bar Harbor) and the woman at the Trolley was so kind and make a suggestion to us for how to spend the time before boarding. Our amazing tour guide and driver, Jim, was super personable and interesting, and even helped us find blueberries and took several pictures of my husband and I with the beautiful backdrops of Cadillac Mountain and Jordan's Pond. We had a great bunch on the tour, and can say that this tour was the highlight of our trip. Jim even recommended a great place to eat, and it was so good, we went back again for dinner! But the icing on the cake was again customer service. We booked a second tour for the next day, and woke up to crummy weather, so we decided to head home and skip our tour. As we had passed the cancellation policy time of 24 hours notice, I did not request my money back, but did call and leave a message to let them know we would not be attending, so they wouldn't wait for us. Imaging my surprise when I looked in my email to find they had refunded my money! We would (and will) be touring with them again, and highly recommend them to anyone.”

“My shopping experience was wonderful. I would like to tell sysadmin that the watch of mine that she admired is from Danbury mint. It is a birthstone watch. I think if you google it, you will be able to find it.Betsy”
“Great place to stop in for food and drinks in Bar Harbor. Reasonable prices, great service and solid food. Staff was helpful and friendly. Restaurant and restrooms were clean and well kept. Fish and chips was very good!”
“They have BONES!!! If you're a gremlin looking for shiny little trinkets you MUST stop here. The bone selection was overwhelming, all kinds of skulls. I ended up getting a gorgeous butterfly shadow box. Can't wait to go back!”

12 Mt Desert St, Bar Harbor“Super cute shop with a different selection from many of the stores off Main St. Good selection of child friendly gifts. We ended up chatting with the owner a bit and got a very nice mug from an artisan from Portland ME I believe.”

707 Cadillac Summit Rd, Bar Harbor“Small shop with a TON of stuff. Drinks, snacks, and lots of souvenirs. There are bathrooms and a water fountain at the same location, so it’s a nice spot to stop before or after a hike. It gets crowded though (bc it’s so small inside), so be prepared for a lot of people. The staff are friendly and quick, so despite the number of people the checkout line moves pretty quick.”

152 Main St, Bar Harbor“We were in Bar Harbor in September 2023 and were immediately captivated by the great decorations in the window that we just had to go. The store has everything a boat fan and harbor lover would love. Not only are the things and items you can buy great, but the entire facility is like a museum with great antiques and details about the history. We bought old original floats to decorate our fishing net on the balcony.”

57 Main St, Bar Harbor“Nice little gift shop with all the necessary Maine souvenirs. The staff were friendly and it wasn't terribly crowded when we were here in early June. Well worth a stop if you're in the market for souvenirs.”
“I adore this boutique. I have only visited once/ yr for the past few summers, but I have found something of note each time. This time I picked up several beautiful napkins. I tend to use them as colorful accents on side tables, the front hall table, to line bread/ roll baskets while entertaining, etc. There is a very wide selection of table linens available here. I also discovered LAFCO candles this trip. I didn't buy any here, mostly due to limited space in the car (we tend to buy a lot of antique books on driving vacations), but I've already had three LAFCO deliveries since returning from the trip. I also enjoyed looking at the gorgeous embroidered items. I restrained myself and purchased only two, but I would have loved to order about a dozen. This shop is a must - visit for anyone trying to find items for furnishing a home for gracious living. I so wish I lived closer.”
