Grateful Grain Brewing Company
26 ME-126, MonmouthI wasn't sure what to expect on my 1st visit to Grateful Grain, but was very pleasantly surprised. Tremendous beer selection, patient & helpful staff, great music and an awesome food truck when we were there. The whole place has a welcoming, chill vibe. Highly recommend.

Heart Of Gold Kennel
139 Anderson Rd, MonmouthI got my best friend from this kennel. I got to meet him before taking him home. I was very picky about what I wanted and had 2 to choose from based off of what I told the breeder. My puppy chose me not the opposite way around. He gave me a kiss as I was putting both of them back, still undecided on which pup would be mine. It was that kiss that let me know he was the one. My children played with her son and the other puppies. The kennel was clean and welcoming and the breeder was kind and answered all of our questions. We didnt feel rushed and had the time we needed to make our choice. When it was time for our pup to come home he had grown so much! He was playful and porky like a puppy should be. When we picked him up we also fell in love with one of her mom's. We asked her to let us know when and if she ever became available. She eventually came home with us. Our first grown dog, we always raised our dogs from puppies. She was well behaved, loved to give kisses, and the best dog ever. Unfortunately, during covid we did a lot of woods hikes and she got bit by a tick. We never thought anything of it but she got Lyme disease and by the time she was symptomatic it was too late. The vet confirmed we wouldnt have known and we never asked about Lyme testing. This was no fault of the breeder, it was our fault for not testing and treating out of lack of education of Lyme disease. We still have Jr, he's full of life and will be 9 in September. He's my best friend, loves my kids and really loves the water. He wants everyone's attention and loves belly rubs. If we were to get another golden we would go back to this breeder. Shes been nothing but kind to us. Ive asked her questions throughout the years and shes always been open to answer them and respond.
