“Their gas prices have been $.30 - $.40 cheaper than anywhere else throughout this high inflation time. Their pump-first, move, and pay, honor system is like a step back in time. Staff are friendly too.”
“I was a bit reluctant to try Charleen's in Richmond due to the fact that you have to go into the store to pay for gas. I'll be honest, I like to go to self-serve, pay at the pump and get out. Here you do need to go into the store but they make it as efficient as possible. They are so busy that they have you pump your gas then move your car ahead before going into the store to pay. They ask that you let them know how much you owe them when you get into the store. This allows others to pump their gas. It is a Fabian gas station. During the increase in gas prices recently, Charleen's prices were ALWAYS lower than anywhere around. The prices were not just a little but a lot (30-50 cents a gallon) lower. They want to give the savings back to the community. There were times when the gas was $4.50 gallon at other stations and I don't think it ever went over $3.90 here. Let me tell you, the owners are awesome. They are friendly and inviting. They love dogs and are fine if you want to bring them into the store. They offer a variety of sundry items, beer, milk and even local baked goods. It is hard to rave about a gas station but if I am going to, it is absolutely going to be about Charleen's. This store/gas station and the people who own it are the best!”
“We thoroughly enjoyed, a Italian (hoagie) Sub. Smoked ham, genoa salami and provolone. The roll was like a baguette but puffy and light. Excellent company at this location the serve with a smile ?. Great prices.”

“Great store! Great prices! Great people! Best Dagwoods and pizzas around! The chicken tenders and chicken burgers are also the best around! Super convenient if you live nearby!”
“Note: All the bad reviews are from when they were transitioning from Riteaid to Walgreens. This was multiple years ago, and it was very bad and chaotic and backlogged. I was there trying to get my meds filled lol. But ever since then, they have been the best pharmacy I've ever filled at.The pharmacy techs here are absolutely dolls. The lead pharmacist with the glasses and accent is literally the SWEETEST and most helpful, kind woman in the world. She is so so sweet and amazing, and will always go out of her way to call insurance and fix problems, no matter how complex they may be. She genuinely cares so much about her patients' well-being and will tell you about discounts and how to save money. She even told me about GoodRX, which I didn't know about before then and which has saved me hundreds of dollars on prescriptions that my insurance wouldn't cover. This location is absolutely fantastic, as a store, and ESPECIALLY as a pharmacy. I genuinely have no idea why the stars are so low. I went to this Walgreens from 2016 to 2023. 7 years, with about 4 different monthly prescriptions being picked up at different times. Even when an issue came up, it was resolved either within 30 mins, end of day, or worst case, no later than the next day. I honestly couldn't recommend a better pharmacy. I really couldn't. When they tell you they'll call your doctor or insurance, they actually DO CALL. They even call you back with updates and information on your requests or info they got from talking to insurnace! You are always kept in the communication loop at this pharmacy! There are definitely some really badly run Walgreens pharmacies. Ones that never ever pick up phone, or takes 30 mins and then on hold for an hour. I can definitely testify to that. However, this Walgreens is NOT a bad one. It is the best Walgreens I've ever been to. I've went to around 10 different Walgreens in my day, and this one completely surpasses them in every way. Whenever I used to call, someone picked up between 10 second to 1 minute, which is AMAZING timing, btw.”

“As far as convenience stores go, I think Cumbies has come a long way. They are investing in their locations, and generally hire exceptionally friendly and hard working employees. The Sabattus location is a great example. And if you have your gas purchase taken from checking account using their card, you save 10 cents a gallon. I have still not taken advantage of that feature, but it's there. Also, in the morning the coffee, while not great, is still only 99 cents, even if cups keep getting smaller. Biggest issue with their coffee is they have a seemingly good variety, including one limited time flavor. But I can't tell the difference in taste of any of them...they all taste the same, no matter what flavor you choose, to me anyways. And if you get coffee anytime after noon time, it tastes strong, old and nasty. But they provide an awesome selection of flavorings, have fresh cream and even have those little "stok" caffeine shots to boost your morning a bit. You don't go to Cumbies based on pizza...as it is generally the most bland pizza you can buy. None of their other fresh cooked items look good to me and I question what is used for ingredients...sure they are the cheapest money can buy. The service is refreshing to see employees take such pride in their work. They are very nice, as well....except for the tall female manager...she is abrupt, never smiles and just wants you to buy your s*** and get the hell out of there. I will avoid her register every time possible. She makes you feel very unimportant and just an interruption to her day. Good thing the other associates are nothing like her, or I would not go there. Ever. And most prices as in any convenience store are way to expensive, but unlike most, they do offer little sales from time to time, and there are a few reasonably priced items. This is a nice store and I do a fair amount of business here. The parking lot and gas pumps can be a dangerous nightmare when vendors are vending and people get gas and instead of moving car away from pumps so maybe someone else can get gas too, they just leave car at pump and go inside to shop. Many times I drive by and go to Lewiston location when the parking lot becomes a cluster. No matter what or where, I will always choose a Cumbies over any other convenience store. Now let's train the manager some people skills, and this particular location would maybe hit 5 stars!”
“Cumbies, for those of us who frequent them, or Cumberland Farms for those who are familiar with the brand has evolved over the last several decades. The majority of them, during my teenage and young adult life, were smaller establishments built with brick and had this pale brown color with the Cumberland Farms logo. They only had spots to pump gas and it was a hot spot for those who like to play scratchers. This location started across the street from where it is today as Staff D. pointed out in her review, and bought the land on its current location and upgraded to a Super Cumbies, well they don't call it that, but one could surmise that is what it would be called. They now have twice the number of gas pumps and the store is nearly 3 times larger. They increased the height of the ceiling, added more fridges and a walk-in fridge to browse the number of beers they offer from your typical corporate beers to some locally craft beers. The quality of the food and snack offerings has significantly gotten better and despite some still labeling it as "gas station food", you have to appreciate the rebranding and upgrades they made to the slushy machines, the coffee station as well as a touch screen ordering system to order some of their upgrade menu selection. I personally enjoy the new look and it was a wise move on their part to upgrade because who complains about a 99 cent coffee all day, and everyday. They do have to compete with Dunkin next door to them, but Dunkin does not offer gas and Cumbies does. Stop in and check out the place if you haven't seen it.”

Tobacco policies are a bit stricter than needed ex. carding all including grandparents, no returns upon leaving the store”
“I have lived in Monmouth for three years and I’ve always loved stopping by the kwick shop for gas or ordering food for dinner. Chuck Shannon and their whole team are always friendly and welcoming . I love that when they update the store or add new products, they ask their customers for input on how we like it or if there’s anything they need to change Chuck recently told me that although they are changing things up it is very important to he and Shannon that the store doesn’t lose the atmosphere of A small town country store . Out of the three stores in town. I always stop at the quick shop over the other two. Please stop in and help this local small business stay in Monmouth for many years to come.”
