Well I have been banking with them since 2016 had no issues until 2021. They allowed 23000 dollars to be stolen out of my account via my routing and account number along with a debit card out of state somewhere I have never been. At first when I reported it everyone seemed like they were going above and beyond to help me. I was told in 90 days I would get my money returned since I have an overwhelming amount of evidence that I didn't make the transactions. The transactions were flagged but someone posed as me and called the bank so they allowed the transactions to continue. They were in an area I have never been to and were for ATM withdrawals and bills and a whole bunch of things. I don't understand how 7 ATM withdrawals a day for 200-300$ were allowed to happen. $7700 dollars in one month!!! Then weeks passed communication became non existent. No calls or emails were returned by Brandi the bank manager so I called customer service. They were rude and refused to direct me to someone to help me. A detective in the state the charges were made is investigating it now. I am most likely not going to get the money back. I have banked with citizens, bank of America, Santander, and USAA and have never been treated like this. So I would be cautious banking with Bangor savings.

Friendly knowledge staff. Atm and teller window outside, coin counter (for bank customers) and tellers inside.

I opened my account with Bangor Savings Bank and EACH and EVERY interaction I've had with him in Portland in Bangor in Millinocket in person within the bank using their drive-through window or calling them on the phone every single interaction has been positive, professional and prompt. One day at the Millinocket branch I was sitting in my car having already gone in and done my bank business and come out and the assistant manager walked a few steps over to my car and asked "Sue are you all set ?" because she was about to lock the door. I thanked her and I said I had already been in and completed my transaction. I thanked her for her thoughtfulness ..... how nice she has a broader view then just get to the door and lock it it's closing time Bangor Savings Bank staff DO LOOK OUT to help others. ( customers but also for the community ... The peanut butter and jelly collection drive for example ....... I've just gotten off the phone with Whitney who is part of the customer service call center. I told Whitney that I had just dropped off two comment cards that reported my excellent grading of their services and personnel interactions with me. I complemented Whitney on being one of a company that I can't say enough good things about and said keep up your excellent work .....I had a question that Whitney answered promptly she was professional and friendly ..... Let me end here saying I so appreciate being able to bank at Bangor Savings Bank ..... and was a bit of honesty and humor.... I hope to be a more valuable customer with more money in my accounts at â¤ï¸ Bangor Savings bank as time moves forward!
