Great indoor facility! Clean, climate controlled and units of all sizes. Easy to move things in and out with free dollys provided. Has a security camera system and keypad door entry. Owner is very nice!

Compared to other facilities in the area, Maine Heated Storage is by far the best value for space when even comparing with some non-climate controlled spaces. The inside is always at a comfortable temperature and clean. We also rent an outdoor space for our travel trailer and I've seen and used as expensive or more expensive lots in the area that are not paved. Having a paved lot really makes the difference when you're getting ready to park for the winter and when you're getting ready to head out for the summer.Maine Heated Storage has been the best storage experience we've had and I really appreciate them.

I've been with this rental for about 4 years now now. The people are so nice and very understanding in hard situations when not being able to pay on the date of payment. All you have to do is call them and explain and follow up with your promise. Prices are great for what the units are. I feel very comfortable with this rental place. Thank you!

Beware of the new ownership or should I say answering service. I moved out of the facility on June16th and found that my belongings had been damaged by a water leak above my storage unit D07. Not sure how long ago the leak happened because no notification was sent by the owners. They were aware of the leak because a storage bin had been positioned above my unit to catch the water. I have place many calls to try and speak to the owners but only get an answering service. They only ask if I purchased the insurance and then say they will contact the owner who never calls. The only thing I found to happen fast is the late fee if you do not pay by the exact date of your monthly payment. I didn't purchase insurance, but I did rent a "climate controlled" storage unit. Part of the climate was to be dry.I'm pretty sure I won't hear from the ownership, so be warned.If you take a chance and store you belongings in the facility I would think twice about putting anything of value. Whatever it is may sit in a puddle for who knows how long and you won't be notified.I finally received a response. The owners said they don't have a customer with my name and asked me to remove the post. Nice try!The truth is you HAD a customer with my name and everything I posted was accurate. Sorry you deserve the 1 star.

When my wife, a second grade teacher of 10+ years, took a temporary leave of absence from her job we suddenly had a lot of things to store (books, board games, boxes of magic markers/glue sticks/colored pencils, various laminated items, globes of the world, bean bag chairs and other furniture not suitable for adults, etc.) There’s not a lot of extra storage at our place, but luckily we were able to find Maine Heated Self Storage in Mechanic Falls. The manger was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, reasonably priced storage unit!

This is the best climate controlled facility around! It is clean, secure and well lit. Easy to use website and customer service was easy to deal with. Prices are fair given it’s a secure, climate controlled facility. Very easy to find in downtown Mechanic Falls, behind the post office. Would recommend to anyone!
