This review is for the restaurant. We walked in at 12:30pm on a Friday and there was only one other table taken, so we wondered how good this place was....but within 30 minutes the restaurant was packed! Definitely known by the locals. We had the fish n chips (huge, fresh, delicious). The crab cake - they say on the menu all crab and it certainly was!! Finally the lobster roll and a small cup of seafood chowder. The lobster roll was the best - no filler! Very little mayo (the way we like it). I took photos of the menu as the pricing online is out of date. The service was good. We stopped here on the way to Campobello. A great stop!

This wonderful family owned motel blew us away. Clean, beautiful accommodations and a picturesque setting. Simply quintessential Maine and definitely the way life should be. The rooms are lovely with amazing water views. There is a terrific common area where there is a fully stocked kitchen. If you don’t want to cook, the attached restaurant serves up a wonderful breakfast and lunch. Lubec is quiet at this time of year but exactly what we love. It’s so relaxing here. The owners are accommodating and friendly. Being from away, we come up here to decompress from the hectic pressure filled lives we live. We are so thankful that these parts of our country exist. We will certainly be back!

The view is amazing, the rest is just mediocre at best. The room( Bayview) was much smaller than the suite next door. The descriptions on the website are poorly written at best and deliberately misleading at worst. All prices were off for the inn and the restaurant by at least 10% and when this was pointed out, the response was that it was a third party reservation system even though it is on their website. Our room was filthy. We were not able to have lunch at the wharf as we ordered and waited 45 minutes before we cancelled and left. The people who deal with the public, woman at desk extremely rude and wait staff were frustrated, need to understand they will generate more negative comments. The people we met at stores, on the street and while walking all were pleasant and hospitable. If we return to Lubec, it will not be at this place. Just to note, we tried to discuss our concerns but either the owners weren’t told or did not care to try to make things right. You have been warned.

Glad we found this hotel but the walls are paper thin. A good view out to the wharf and coffee in the am. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. Go to town to eat dinner and make a reservation at The Tavern.

Stayed here for one night on our Maine exploration trip. It’s a basic place. Great views and good showers but fairly average for the price. If you book here, make sure you’re not on the bottom floor of one of the apartment buildings. The noise from the rooms above is really annoying.

Wonderful place to stay!!! The room is very clean and basic. We had a great view from our balcony. The view though....wow!! It's the perfect little place to relax and watch the ocean.

The location was exceptional, offering convenience and appeal. The room was impeccably clean, and the price was very reasonable. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of this place, and if we return to Lubec, we would be delighted to stay here again.

Excellent view and the room was clean, but had a horrible smell. The cleaning products used or sprayed after cleaning left an incredibly strong odor in the room (think: urinal cake + Lysol) which did not improve with opening the windows. When the windows were open the greasy smells from the restaurant filled the space. It smelled like a men’s room in a dive bar.
Since we were there primarily for the stay (my companion has limited mobility so we weren’t there for excursions) we just couldn’t stand it. Front desk had no good ideas and we ultimately relocated to another facility on Campobello where we got a great little cottage on the water for less than the cost of this room with the exchange rate. No attempts at customer relations were made and a refund was denied (and no, I wasn’t rude or nasty about it - we just couldn’t tolerate the terrible odor). So we checked out and moved on. ??♀️
We won’t be back but if you aren’t sensitive to smells, the clean rooms, spectacular view, and proximity to hot meals is nice.

Had the best view from our room and it was very quiet. The common area and laundry were great and there was always coffee. The restaurant was excellent, both food and service. Only suggestion is I think it’s time to upgrade/change the mattress and pillows.

Amazing location. A very quiet and peaceful spot. Clean room. Loved the common area and outdoor spaces. The restaurant was okay the servers were not very welcoming did not even say good morning. Overall a nice spot to visit for a few nights or long weekend.

Came for lunch after riding harleys for 2 hrs to visit Lubec. Walked in and sat ourselves, no one ever said hi, hey, not a word. Young girl behind the bar on her phone, and an older lady wrapping silverware. 6 people were sat outside, no one inside. Finally we walked up and got our own menus, again the girl at the bar never looked up from her phone. The older lady seen us get menus, and rudely let us know she'd be with us. 20 minutes later and haven't even been asked if we'd like drinks. Got up to leave, and the young girl at the bar just stares at us as we leave.
