We recently visited The Clutter Shop in Lubec, Maine, and had an interesting experience. During our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting the new owners who had just acquired the business. They were in the midst of a transition period with the previous owner, which added an exciting element of change to the shop's atmosphere. Despite being new to the business, the owners were welcoming and seemed enthusiastic about their new venture.
This single-owner antique shop is well-organized and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to browse through the various pieces on display. For those interested in antiques and vintage items, The Clutter Shop is definitely worth a visit.

After many many years of going to Lubec and driving right by, we finally stopped at the Clutter Shop. As it turned out, it was the first day for the new owners, a very nice couple.
The shop is full of interesting things -- one can get full sets of dishes and I saw a beautiful black flapper dress. We ended up with 4 interesting LP's (yes, we own a record player) and a working Cross pen and pencil set.
If you are really Downeast, make the stop.

I love everything about this shop including and especially the owner Sherry! my friends and I were looking for unique souvenirs from our visit to Maine and couldn't have asked for a selection. sherry has acquired an extensive collection of reasonably priced, high quality items from toys to glassware to china to furniture to jewelry. All are in terrific condition and did I already say reasonable priced?! I highly recommend!!

Pulled up on a whim on a recent late afternoon several minutes after closing, the owner was gracious enough to flag us down, reopen the store, and let us in to browse. This store is full of (actually loaded with) interesting finds that cut across many decades of American collecting…well organized sections arranged by glassware, barware, decorative, toys, books, signs, posters, records, linens, etc. The owner was super friendly and accommodating as we explored and found many items that we remembered from our having in our own homes growing up. It was a fun visit, and we all left with several items to take home and treasure for many years to come, and to remind us of our visit to Lubec, ME.

Happened across this treasure trove of antiques and vintage stuff on our way back from the bold coast trail. This store is jam packed with finds of all kinds - dishes/glassware and clothing were our faves but got lost in other departments too. Definitely worth stopping by!!

This shop is a treasure filled with treasures. Organized and packed with surprises around every corner. The super friendly owner has a story for almost everything in the shop and will ship things if you are travelling. We are going back tomorrow!

I recently read an article in the Portland Herald about the best antique stores in Maine, and the Clutter Shop was one of them. I can see why. They have a great selection of antique and vintage items -- dishware, glassware, pottery, vinyl, old typewriters, books, signage, furniture and accessories, etc. etc. Everything is organized beautifully! I'll definitely stop in again when I re-visit the area.

A wonderful shop! We stopped by not knowing what we would find and we found everything and more! There's a wide variety of items, from sewing supplies and vintage clothes to antique toys and lighting and books of all genres. The shop owner is knowledgeable and very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them and hope to stop by in the future. If you're in the area, make this shop a priority!

This is an interesting shop, with a lot of different things. You can spend a while here poking around. A word of caution - it's not wheelchair friendly.
