This is a great gift shop on Long Island - perfect for picking up a hostess gift, a sweatshirt for those cool nights, or a birthday card. They have an amazing selection including books, stuffed animals and toys for kids, candles, snacks, jewelry, mugs - it's a lot of fun to shop around. The staff are all volunteers and it's obvious they love their work. Look for the sign on the road - afternoon hours only - but a great stop on your bike trip or your hike to the state beach.

This gift shop is beautiful and charming. I have visited and volunteered there. The staff are friendly, the prices are fair, and you can find incredibly amazing gifts and unique treasures. I come back time and time again, to visit this truly lovely gift shop.

Their ever-changing items for sale, and the attractive way they are displayed. Since selling our island cottage in late 2016, I have missed being able to visit Ivy Hall Gift Shop. It was a favorite place to go during the summer months. Miss all of my friends on Long Island as well.

The Ivy Hall Gift Shop is quintessential Maine-island-charming. It's very small. And it's got a church hall-meets-craft fair-meets-garage sale feeling to it (which is definitely not a bad thing!). It offers kitsch, souvenirs, lobster-prints-on-everything, and ocean-themed gifts that kept us intrigued and pleased that we decided to stop and poke around. If we were not coastal Mainers ourselves, we probably would have bought a ton of wonderful things. From the buoy ball sets and books, to the locally made candles and soaps (still don't know what "sexy man" is supposed to smell like) to ocean glass trinkets, from the sailor knot bracelets to the candy selection... it was just very, very cute. There's really no other way to explain it! According to the town of Long Island, ME website, they consider themselves "the most complete gift shop on Casco Bay" and that part of the "proceeds from the Ivy Hall Gift Shop benefit the ministries and missions of the Evergreen United Methodist Church". Very cool!
