Augusta/Gardiner KOA Journey is a quiet, rustic, family and pet-friendly park centrally located in Maine, making it a great home base and central hub to explore. It is a short drive to the highway, ideal for stop overs while passing through or visiting the area. The campground is located on a fairly steep hillside with terraced sites, which are well leveled and simple, offering good hookups and water pressure. The park is known for being super clean, with immaculate bathrooms and showers and a clean pool. It is a surprisingly good KOA with a lot to offer, including a great playground, dog park, and tons of family activities like movie night. The staff are wonderful, friendly, helpful, and full of local knowledge. Guests enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, though nearby road noise can be loud during the day. It is a very quiet location overall, providing a fantastic and friendly environment for a short stay of a night or two.

This was a surprisingly good KOA. It is located on a hill but the sites were well leveled and easy to get in and out of with a 40' motorhome towing a jeep. Hook ups were all good with good water pressure. This KOA has a lot for it only being considered a journey. Good stop if going through Maine or visiting the area.

Honest, friendly, beautiful, clean. My kids LOVED the pool!
