I brought my cat there since she was a kitten... what seemed like everytime I would bring her each year or if something didn't seem right with her... I would get snarky comments from staff... basically that I should be a better pet parent... I love my cat and she is very well taken care of care of. It always felt like I was being judged or that no one was good enough for the animals... the only nice one was the vet... Dr. Robitalle and she isn't even there anymore. I had had enough and when I found out she left the practice I left.

They are very compassionate about the animals they get, I took my cat there but they didn't seem to have the medical knowledge or prices I was looking for.

I myself find that you never know who you will see. We have a favorite person who is always unavailable. I have lost all confidence in the team and find they are more concerned about the bottom line than the pets we have!. Our three dogs are family! I realize they are busy but that doesn't account for the expense and lack of support you receive from the staff. I am now searching for a new place to entrust with the care of our dogs. Would no longer recommend as we have in the past!

I have been a a customer of Lisbon Road Animal Hospital for over 4 years with various animals and have always spoken highly of their practice and recommended them to everyone. I can no longer do that after the changes I've seen in the practice. I'm not sure if the changes are due to COVID or something else, but they haven't been positive, and they've led to medical issues for my pets and increased costs for me. After my cat had a dental cleaning and extractions at Lisbon Road, she was sent home with a new antibiotic. It didn't work and it took several phone calls to connect with the vet. The office did not see her or even attempt to schedule an appointment, but I received a new antibiotic. Once again, the antibiotic worked minimally and I called again. I was given only two options: do another round of the second antibiotic or go to a specialty vet for an expensive procedure under anesthesia (a cost I could no longer afford after all of the other expensive treatment, a car breakdown, and having to move). At that point, I broke down thinking that if one more round of the antibiotic didn't work I'd have to have my cat put to sleep to prevent her from more suffering. At that point, out of desperation, I switched vets. I called the new vet's office on Saturday morning to start the process and they scheduled her for an appointment on Monday even before having her records. On Monday, she was fully examined by a vet who determined that her sinuses and nasal passages were severely inflamed and she needed a steroid to bring down the inflammation and improve her breathing (which was the top priority). They put her on a steroid and the original antibiotic which had been used before the dental and had proved effective. She started the first dose of both medications Monday night and by Tuesday morning was showing slight improvement in her breathing. By this morning, her breathing was 75% improved with no more accessory muscle involvement and minimal snorting. The bloody discharge was significantly reduced and had thinned out enough for her to sneeze it out. If Lisbon Road Animal Hospital had simply made the time to SEE my cat, their vets likely would have come to the same conclusion and it would have saved her a week of suffering and it would have saved me the crying over fearing I was going to lose my cat. This is inexcusable. It is unacceptable that they send clients whose pets have fairly minor acute health concerns to emergency vets (at considerably higher costs) because their practice is so overbooked. My cat nearly died because of their negligence and failure to manage the practice in a way that provides adequate care for all of the animals they claim to support. If I had stayed with Lisbon Road Animal Hospital, I would have believed them when they said the only remaining option was a medical procedure that I could not afford, and I would have had my cat needlessly put to sleep. That is not something I can forgive or forget, and I will no longer recommend Lisbon Road Animal Hospital. Utilizing this practice will put people's beloved animals lives at risk.

I love all the vets here except one whom I won't name. Dr Robitaille is my favorite. She never makes me feel rushed and goes above and beyond to get the answer if she doesn't know it at the time. For those complaining about how "all they care about is money", well it's a business, just like a Drs Office. Most of the Vet practices around here are owned by big corporations that charge the big $$$. It's not this particular location or these particular Vets. It's sad really. Maybe check out insurance for your pets or look for a locally owned practice, if you find one let me know!!!

We moved from Georgia last summer with our two dogs. We have been very satisfied with this animal hospital. All the staff have been courteous and professional. Our questions get answered and our phone calls returned. Recommendations were made for vaccinations and flea and tick and heartworm medication due to the change in the region. We feel very comfortable with the care our dogs are receiving, and would recommend this office to family and friends.

Basically all they care about is how much money they can milk you out of. We have spent over 5-6k on our dog. My girlfriend has to work until 430 everyday so I went to pick up my dog. We just paid them 1000.00 the day before. I told them my gf would call in her cc card at 430 when she gets in here car to take care of the payment. They wouldn't let me have my dog until I they received payment. What a joke. They don't care about the animals all they want is your money.

Dr Clark is a wonderful vet. Our cat Mila was having an emergency, and after our regular, expensive vet in Auburn couldn't see her, I frantically called LRAH to see if they could help. They did help. They ultimately saved her life. LBAH squeezed us in, and Dr Clark was able to give her the care she needed. Once in the examination room, he brought up her weight, which we had been struggling with for a while. Our regular vet (whom we no longer use) always promised, after each visit, to send me a plan to help her loose weight, but it simply wasn't a priority. Dr Clark sat with me and gave me a detailed plan on exactly how to help her loose weight, and it is working. Mila has lost 2 pounds since her Mid-August visit, and continues to thrive. We got our active kitty back! She's grooming herself in places she couldn't reach before, and playing actively for longer periods of time. We are so grateful for that emergency in many ways, because we were able to find the care that put her health and needs first. LRAH, Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I'm only leaving one star because I have to but this place is a joke! Sat here for 30 minutes calling from the parking lot for my dogs 8:00 appt and when I finally got through at 8:16 they told me I was late and the next appointment was starting! Taking my 4 animals elsewhere.

I have a love hate relationship with LRAH that I just can't seem to kick. The good: *the Vets are amazing with my dog. He is a high maintenance breed who needs lots of nurturing attention and that is what he gets from everyone when we visit *everyone listens when we visit. My dog is allergic to pretty much everything so I'm extra cautious with the various remedies that he has to take when sick and LRAH works around my fears *they can almost always get you in right away if you have an urgent need *most everyone is friendly and they are all so patient when animals mark their territories. I always feel terrible when this happens but they just jump into action and reassure you not to worry. I'm sure this isn't the highlight of their jobs but they are so patient that you'd have no idea if they disliked it *they maintain a clean facility. My dog has never come home with a flea on him so they've got to be doing something right The bad: *One of my frustrations is the cookie cutter policies in place (though I have seen some big positive changes and hope this continues). For example; my dog pulled his back out a few years ago and from time to time he has a bit of back pain. We can clearly recognize and identify when it's bothering him. The muscle relaxers he takes for it aren't narcotics but they would require us to go in when we needed a refill. That's super frustrating as you have to take time off work, pay for an unnecessary appointment, and get the same result you were asking for to begin with. However, I've learned that if you just ask a Vet to note the chart, that you can get these things prescribed over the phone. And- when you call in, specifically tell the front desk to just talk with the Vets about the request as they should approve it. *the costs are high. I've compared with others on what they spend and I seem to spend more for the same types of visits than folks who go to some other local Vets. While I know the old saying "you get what you pay for", it blows my mind just how expensive everything is. They don't have the administrative expense of having to bill to insurance (and they require payment at time of service so they're not sitting on unpaid bills and losing money from non-payment) so I would think some of the tests and procedures shouldn't cost ten times the amount the human version of the test would cost. I can just hope they pay their staff very well for what the customers pay and that's what I tell myself every time I swipe my card
