I recently had the pork pie and it was delicious. I just opened a chicken pot pie 6 days prior to sell date and the top crust is wet and moldy.

I bought a tourtiere pie and put in the oven for our dinner. I followed the instructions from the label to reheat the pie. After having left it in the oven 10 minutes longer., I removed it from the oven and sliced it. Upon taking my first bite the bottom crust was RAW! It was disgusting. So I put it back in the oven at a higher temperature for another 25 mins. Took it out from the oven and cut me a slice. I tried it for the third time and it was no better. The filling is mushy and not much flavor. I know my tourtiere . I’m Canadian and have made plenty of pies to which I have never had any complaints. Thank god I didn’t serve this to company because I would have been mortified! I Won’t be buying another one of your pies.

Love the Salted Herbs. I use it on many dishes, and especially my soups. My mom introduced me many years ago. Franco American French..

So I have been buying both pork pies and cretons for 10 years. Others have mentioned to me finding mold on the top of the creton.tubs Just bought a pork pie with mold on top crust hidden by the label. Both times the product was still 4 days short of the sell by datetubs

Absolutely fantastic. I grew up eating Cretons. I can't find a good recipe, but thank goodness I found Mailhots. Unbelievable delicious. Every bite brings me back to childhood. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Got to try a tourtiere (French Canadian meat pie) and some Cretons for the very first time today because of my discovery of Mailhot making them right here in Lewiston and they all tasted absolutely incredible! Love to support a local business makin' such incredible food products! Def worth your money!

They have the greatest breakfast sausage. I wish they shipped to other states/grocery stores.

I have been eating Mailhot's pork pie since I was a little girl (and I won't tell you how old I am now. Your pies were always soooo goood. The pies were always filled with nicely seasoned pork, enough filling to give every member of a family of five a really nice serving for dinner. Now, sadly, not so much. The crust was almost flattened to the bottom crust. The filling had very little pork and where was the seasoning? Once the pie was cut, the inside looked liked a pressed sandwich. The sell date is use by 2/26. It has been in my cold refrigerator for a week. Today is 2/20. I felt it would be fine to eat. Yet, here I am feeling slightly nauseous. I know that inflation is causing food companies to adjust how they make their products. It has done a number on a number of foods I had liked. I have to tell you that I would rather pay a higher price for the pork pie Mailhot's is known for rather than a questionable stripped down version of the pork pie I have enjoyed all my life. If the company hadn't changed the pie, I would be awarding 5 stars. Can't do that anymore. I wish, I could, but I have more than half a pork pie to toss into the trash.J. Morin

This is the best sausage I've ever had. All of them are good. The hot is not too hot, just right. I bought it at The Umbrella Factory in Naples. I hope they continue to carry it. If not, I;ll drive to Lewiston.

I love to support local but I just had their sausage substituted for one I usually get in a grocery pick up at Hannaford. I cooked them, not a lot of fat. But it appeared the fillers took up more space than actual sausage. The flavor is “soapy” and bland. Will be throwing away the whole batch. Too bad, money wasted. I wouldn’t recommend their breakfast sausages. I haven’t tried any of their other products, so I can’t speak to those.

Boudin. Can't find it anywhere. Finally found it at Mailhot. Can I buy it direct from them as store does not always have it ? Boudin that is. After cooking and eating the sausage it turned it to be very dry and crumbly. Not good. More fat needs to be added to the recipe.
