Wonderful beach in Maine to bring your dogs and family. Large parking area to walk to multiple beach sites. The only negative to this place is the large amount of seaweed and the smell of it when the tide starts coming in. Otherwise, it was a very fun and pleasant place to have a beach day.
Restrooms: The parking area has about a dozen Porta pottys a couple being handicap accessible.
Dog-friendliness: The beach is dog friendly, but signs say must be leashed at all times. However, the reality is that most dogs are not.

I went with a group primarily for the beach access, which was very lacking. There is a small sandy area that wasn’t clean as well as a rocky area surrounding that. The boardwalk was closed when we went (August 2024), so I don’t recommend traveling to go here unless you are wanting to see the fort. Otherwise there are many better park and beach options

A few really nice spots for family outings. If you like the beach you'll love it.
Restrooms: Hard to get to depending where you are, and alright, but at least they are there.
Dog-friendliness: Some spots where dogs can really run around without worry.
Picnic area: Nice pavilions in some places.

I love this place and I bring my dog . Well today she was enjoying herself on the beach with leash on playing in water. A dog comes out of nowhere the owner no we're in sight it was around 8:44 am this dog attack my dog. The owner was not in sight and her dog was off the leash. When the owner arrived she said she didn't need a leash it's not 10 am yet not a care in the world took he dog and walked away. I was under the impression that no matter what time of day all dogs must be leashed.? There is even a sign that states that . All dog on leash are all times? .

I’ve been coming here since I was 6/7 yrs old. It’s My lil getaway spot from Everyday hustle and bustle. It’s Always clean & Everyone is so friendly. I’ll always be here for the summertime. ?
Playground: On one side of this beach, it has a few different swingsets and a play area for children as well.
Restrooms: Both men and women’s bathrooms, changing areas and shower area.
Dog-friendliness: Dogs r supposed to be on leash from 10-3pm
Picnic area: Two different sides where you can have your own little grill on site with picnic tables.

A sprawling magical place with all kinds of views - ocean, rocks, beach, lighthouses, wooded areas, lily ponds. Excellent for plein air painters. For non residents it's a bit pricey at 20 (as of 2024) so fill your car with family, friends and dogs for the day. It's a perfect place to take kids for a technology break.

Beautiful place. Day pass is now $25.75 by card only, no cash! If walking in that is per person. Not what the website said.
