Very recently my cat had an infection in his paw; Kennebunk Veterinary office got me in quickly and we were seen by Dr. O and his Assistant. They were great and immediately I knew my boy was in capable, kind hands. He is doing so well now and is back to his playful self thanks to excellent veterinary care. Thank you Dr. O and Isabelle!! We have been coming here for years and have seen the service provided become very poor. Rudeness by the employees and cost increases without an explanation. We are looking for a change.

I am so disappointed with KVH. After more than 20 years and 3 Goldens with this practice, I called to make an appointment for my puppy to get 2 shots. I was told they are 2 months behind and I could make an appointment for September!!! Completely unacceptable! I called another local veterinary clinic and could get an appointment with the vet of my choice in less than 10 days! Although I really like Dr. O and Dr. Shively I will not be going back there.

We’ve been bringing Daisy here since we got here at 12 weeks old (and we bring our cats too!). They’ve been awesome and are super informative if you have questions. Very friendly and great with your pets. Daisy actually likes to go to the vet now!

We LOVE Dr. Bluestone and the staff! We were referred by a friend specifically to her after feeling like we weren’t feeling mutual concern or getting answers to an ongoing health issue for one of our dogs. Our feeling before meeting Dr. Bluestone was just “pick a pill” and “it is what it is”. Dr. O has removed two mast cell tumors from my lab, and re-excised two others that were incompletely removed at another clinic. I consider him to be very knowledgeable, and a superb surgeon and clinician. The staff has always been efficient, friendly, and welcoming. As a physician myself I appreciate a well run office.

Dr. Margaret Shively is awesome. She takes time to listen and address any concerns. You don't feel rushed. My 16 year old dachshund is still going strong thanks to Dr. Shivley. They even sent a thoughtful and yummy treat for her sweet 16! (Made in USA) Seeing Harvey lounging in his chair behind the reception counter is also a nice treat. Great veterinary hospital.

We have been going to KVH for years. Dr. Shively has seen us through happy times and sad times. All of our pets loved her and so do we. She is compassionate and gentle and I always feel that she is giving us the best treatment and advice.

I had been going to Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital since the 90's. Even when I moved 20 minutes away I still brought my cats here (and we know how much most cats love cars) because they are hands down the best Vet around!! They personally care so much about your pets and it truly shows. I recently moved to Colorado and one of the things I'll miss the most is having a veterinarian who knows my pets so well and cares so much. Oh and this also goes for all the staff, the ladies at the desk are beyond amazing as well!

Even though I have known two of the vets here for 20 years- I was turned away by the front desk 15 minutes before closing time with a dog in respiratory failure and what we learned later was internal bleeding due to a ruptured tumor on his spleen. My dog could easily have died in the car on the way to the emergency clinic 30 minutes away in the arms of my 14 year old. Shame on you. I will never recommend KVH again.

After 7 years of being a client of Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital, I called with a serious problem with my senior cat. I was told there no appointments available for that day. I pleaded with the receptionist that I felt it was really important I see my vet. I was told she would check with the vet. The answer was the same - no appointments available. I was given an appointment for Monday as this was a Friday. My cat was very sick and lived for 2 more days after seeing the vet on Monday. Having had cats for years, I have never known a vet practice to turn away a client with a serious problem. This is a practice that cares more about money and their own convenience than the quality of care for animals.
