This has got to be one of the trashiest cab companies I've ever seen in my life. You're lucky if the cars can even make a round trip to Bangor let alone around Holton. My wife took this cab and the cab driver acted creepy the entire time bragging about how much money he makes. The last time she took this cab I had to leave work and go pick her up because they were broken down . I wouldn't recommend this taxi service to a homeless person or even a dog for that matter. You will be better off walking

We reserved a room with a king bed. When we arrived our room was not ready; the desk clerk gave us the key to use later. We didn't get back until the office was closed (after 9:00 pm) and found that we had two double beds, not a king and not even a queen. We had requested the non-smoking wing, and the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke as did the bedding. The room was very dirty. What looked like a half-chewed potato chip on the arm of the chair, stains on all the bedding and towels, stained carpet, bathroom door would not close fully (bound on side and floor), the shower curtain rod was pulled down so it was impossible to keep the shower curtain closed, and all the furniture was very beat up and worn. A hand towel was placed on the side of the tub to use for a bathmat, and when we put the towel on the floor, clouds of dust and a dried up spider flew up from the floor. When we checked out, we said we had reserved a king bed, and the desk clerk said yes, that was in the reservation request but no king beds were available for our date and stated that someone should have told us that. We asked if there was a discount as we didn't get the room we reserved and were told no. Cannot recommend anything about this hotel and will never stay there again.

Came up for a wedding . Unpacked everything and went to put the a/c fan on because the room smelled horrible. It worked for 4 seconds and never came back on! I had to open the window which was not easy and was nervous with the drunks at the bar so close to our room and window . The bathtub has a giant hole in the side of the tub with white tape cover part of the hole. Why would you rent a room out in these conditions. The white bedding had pink stains going down through the first 2 layers! Gross!!! Beds felt old and every time you moved it sounded like rubber moving around . I was scared to even look. I just wanted this trip to end. We have stayed here in a room facing the street about 5 yrs ago and said not bad we will come again. After this visit never again and I hope people read the reviews first, they are certainly not putting money back into this place ! Which is sad because it has potential. I travel with my daughter for 3 days . This was an unpleasant stay and will not be coming back!

I had the displeasure of staying in this motel for 5 nights in April 2021. When I arrived, I found a half eaten slice of cheese in my drawer. There was a dirty sock on the floor presumably from the last desk (I picked it up and placed it in the trash). The floor of the bathroom had what appeared to be dried urine on the floor in front of the toilet. The floor of the bathroom was soft (rotten) and the toilet was not secure to the floor. The washcloth had what appeared to be blood stains all over it. The thermometer in my room was set at 55 degrees. It was in the 50's outside, but my room was crazy hot. Now for the worst part.....the first morning I was there, I took a shower, I placed my dirty towel on the floor of the bathroom and powdered my feet. I left the dirty wet towel, full of powder, on the pee stained floor and left for the day. When I arrived back in my room, the bed was made and I had what appeared to be fresh towels hung on the rack. The next thing that I noticed was the dirty sock that I had placed in the trash was now on top of the bathroom sink next to my toiletries. I washed my hands and grabbed a towel from the towel rack. I could immediately smell powder. I shook the towel and powder came off. I then realized they had picked up my dirty wet towel, from the pee stained floor, folded it and hung it back on the towel rack like it was a fresh towel. I put the do not disturb sign on my door for the remainder of my stay. After I checked out, I called the motel and asked to speak with the manager or owner. I was transferred to the owners voice mail. I left a message and asked for a call back. I am writing this 7 days later, and no call back. This motel deserves 0 stars. I can not believe anyone could possibly rate this over a one star. If this is the state of the motel during Covid, I can only imagine what it must be like when we are not in the middle of a pandemic. Do yourself a favor and drive an hour to the nearest Hotel !!

Very friendly staff and having the restaurant onsite was great. The food was awesome and pricing was good. The room was very nice with comfortable bed and very clean. Check in and out process was very easy.

The room was fine. It was clean but needed to be remodeled. We were having a hard time finding a place, so we stopped here. We would be willing to stay there again. The continental was just o.k., but many motels have hot items now.

The carpet in our room was old and looked dirty and the room smelled musty. So we opened the window to let some fresh air in but the cigar smoke from the person standing outside stunk worse than the room. (not the motel's fault but perhaps indicative of the clientele) It was a bit noisy when the bar closed out back, fortunately it was not too late. The "continental" breakfast consisted of mediocre coffee, orange juice, yogurt, and prepackaged bread products. Fortunately, there was a Dunkin Donuts nearby. The worse part was the water in the shower would only get warm, not hot. When we told the person at the desk upon checking out, he said nothing, no apology, nothing. The room was overpriced and no discounts were available.

Awful! My daughter, who is a respectable musician and college student, was traveling alone as she often does between Canada and the States. We have chosen Shiretown Inn for its safety, cleanliness, and hospitality. She has stayed with them twice previously with no incident. We have always booked through booking.com with mom doing the booking but always stating that I was booking for someone else and entered my daughter’s name. In the late evening hours, in the snow, as she was traveling from PEI to home, she stopped for her stay as she always has in the past and WAS TURNED AWAY! I called the hotel and was told that it was because of her age. She is under 21. Mind you, she has stayed there twice previously with no issues and through booking.com. I asked the hotel to please make an exception. They would not. I asked if the woman on the phone with me had any grown children, college kid age, and what she would do if her child were traveling alone and needed a place to stay. She told me she would have been responsible to call the hotel and make sure it was ok. Then she hung up on me. Meanwhile, my weary daughter is crying in her car with now no place to go late at night. Let me be clear: we have ALWAYS booked for my daughter through booking.com, there are NO POLICIES on the hotel’s website or through any other internet source that the hotel has an age restriction of 21. I will NEVER endorse this hotel again and will be sure that all know that they are uncaring, belittling humans who did nothing to help a young girl and her family find solace or rest in a difficult situation. I have worked in customer service my entire life. You don’t ever fare well by quoting policies, not posting policies, not admitting your mistakes, and never making exceptions to the rule when the rule clearly does not apply to the situation in front of you. I will continuously tell others to bypass this establishment even if only as a matter of principle.

Super comfortable place to stay , , Sheila at the front desk could not have been more accommodating and friendly to deal with , , my stay was a absolute pleasure, , looking forward to my next stay at Shiretown , , , , Jim

I’ve taken my vehicle there a couple times. Great customer service. I highly recommend everyone go here for your vehicle maintenance and repair. Barb and the crew are awesome

Went in for an inspection and some repairs were needed. Robert did an excellent job repairing, diagnosing the problems and keeping me informed. Reasonably charged for an excellent job. Will definitely return if need be and recommend to others.
