Many things really are over-priced. Even before covid entered into all our lives. There are deals, oh yes indeed! Like a scavenger hunt, but only if you have time to shop at all three markets in Houlton.I was under the assumption that the more customers bought, the less it would be. Not these stores. They have the idea that charging more would be a better idea. I have asked about buying more than what can fit on the shelves, and their reply is, "We have no stock room to carry extra"?What???We do not base our pricing on supply and demand for "everything" people purchase. It is based on forecasting a company's sales for the future. If I tell you the company's will make a profit of a million per year and it falls short by a quarter million.... that's a loss...What??? It's profit people.When did greed take over? Waste all that food because you want $7.99 for 4 little whoopy pies (So delicious) in the deli moved to an end cap. ?

Busy here when I went. Always the best place around to get food, here and county yankee. Seems like they dont sell you bad food. Unlike Hannford.

I was buying meat from the deli. One of the girls was slicing meat for me. While she was bagging it. The other girl used the same slicer to slice turkey. When she got done. The girl that was helping me was going to slice more meat for me. I said don’t you wipe down the slicer after you use it for other meats . She said, sometimes we do. At one time we owned our own deli. Very time we cut anything on the slicer we washed it down. Before we used it again. So why can’t they do that. What if someone is allergic. To turkey meat or poke meats. So please take your time and wash the slicer down.
