Staff there is very professional and their store is immaculate and well-organized. Large parking lot makes it easy to pull in with a large truck and or a trailer attached and get out back onto the road safely. The section of the yard where the lumber is stored is as well organized and neat as any I've ever seen. Very impressive.

Based on my experiences in Machias Ben, Timothy and one delivery man, lie and are unethical to cover their lies. Diane is rude and disrespectful. Head yard guy is excellent and the guys in the yard are great! Beware inside people try to steal and lie! Keep all receipts, take pictures of anything you send back on the delivery truck once it’s on the truck. Sign nothing before reading. Question every interaction you have with inside people. Belfast head office was polite and timely and I believe they were the force behind getting Machias to return money owed back to me for that I am grateful!

Yesterday my vehicle broke down in the parking lot. I had 3 young children with me, and it was windy and cold. We were 50+ miles from home. Rob stayed late and let us all wait inside the store for my husband to arrive, after my vehicle was towed. THANK YOU SO MUCH! You have gained some new customers.

I just went into viking in milbridge to pick up some adhesive. Asked an employee to help me find the strongest stuff. She showed me pl 5200. Turns out it's $30 a tube. I asked if they had a smaller tube and she showed me they do. It said $3.99!! I said great, ill take 2. I get to the counter and they are $20 a piece. I asked her to honor the shelf price. The manager got involved and said no ...he would offer no discount. None. I asked to sell me just 1 of the 2 tubes for a middle price of $10...he would not honor the price on his shelf. Horrible customer service on already trumped up prices at viking. I WILL NOT GO BACK TO VIKING LUMBER FOR ANOTHER ITEM

I have been shopping around for rough cut hemlock for our new raised beds this year. Not only did viking beat all the other competitors but the customer service was top notch. Isabel was very quick to answer questions and gave updates throughout the day on where the order was. Highly recommend and will purchase future building and outdoor needs through them. Clayton in the kitchen and bath department always has a smile on his face. He gives my dog a cookie every time I bring her in. He's very honest and knowledgeable. It feels so good to have total trust in the person who is helping me remodel my home.
