My wife and I have been seasonal campers at the Bangor / Holden KOA for about eight years. Earlier today I noticed water pooling around the water line to our site #4.
I contacted "Woody" and made him aware. There was NO hesitation! About six hours later, digging about four feet down, Robert and Woody located the problem and repaired it!
Robert and Woody really stepped up to address the leak that could have resulted in a more serious water line break!
We can't say enough about the staff at the Bangor / Holden KOA Campground! They are the most friendly and helpful crew to deal with!
Thank You!!
Sue and Scott Curtis :)

This Kia is a dump. 100.00 a night and you drive into a getto. They don't help you to your site. When we finally found our site it was just ok. More like something you would get for around 55.00.

Great Campground! The best one I've stayed in the Bangor area: clean nice sites and great staff and owners. I will stay again!

I’ve read some reviews regarding the noise from traffic. We spent the weekend hear, at one site near the playground close to the campground entrance, and did not find it disturbing. If you were looking for more quiet, take a lot further back in the campground, they are wooded, private, and you cannot hear the road noise. We had a great experience! The owners and their staff were beyond friendly and accommodating. It rained one day while we were there, but they still opened the pool and the jump pad for my child…even though she was the only one crazy enough to be out playing! The bathhouse was clean in the showers are also clean and large. There is a very nice laundry site as well. They have a store, pizza, ice cream, and more! This campground is pet friendly and they have a fenced in dog area for your pets to do their business. They even provide bags to clean up after them keeping the area clean. My dogs had a great time! We plan to visit here again and had a wonderful time!

Pride of ownership is very evident in this campground. We stayed here years ago and again recently. So many awesome updates. The bathrooms were very clean and it was very quiet during the evening so easy to get to sleep. Love the proximity to Bangor. A couple things to note there is some road noise from the fairly busy road it's located on and some early morning noise from the lumber store yard right next door but all in all a wonderful spot to stay if your in the area camping.

Immaculately clean bath & showers up front, quiet campers as mostly seasonal. No kids running crazy! Unfortunately on a busy biway so if near entrance you will hear the traffic.
We had an amazing tent spot with electric, water and covered shelving that made the whole set up a dream for cooking.
Would stay again for sure!

Great KOA with all the normal amenities you would expect. The staff is super helpful, very friendly, and have great positive uplifting attitudes. When we first arrived, it rained pretty hard. We asked a neighbor if it had been raining a lot, and he said he had been here for 3 weeks and it hadn't stopped yet. We stayed for 2 weeks, and ended up with like 4 sunny days without rain. This meant that the entire campsite was pretty thoroughly flooded, and our entire yard had standing water with a nice big mud patch right at our front steps. It was so wet that the staff couldn't even mow until our second to last day, so the grass was getting pretty long and soggy. Despite all of the negative weather, the staff maintained their positive attitude, and did not cancel any of their fun events and activities. Even though the pool and bounce pad were out of commission, they more than made up for it with indoor crafts, events, and fun hangouts at the club house. The entrance is EXTREMELY tight. If you are towing a vehicle, I highly recommend you disconnect before pulling in. We did not, and we did not make it through the entrance either. Staff was once again super helpful in getting us unstuck, and gave us the time and space to maneuver safely, instead of rushing us out of the road like we have experienced at other camps, including some highly rated KOA's. The park store here is probably the biggest and most well stocked store we have seen in over a year, and the pizza, sandwiches, and ice cream are tasty and worth sampling. Jones Lobster Company right down the road really does have the BEST lobster rolls, and the best tasting lobster we had during our entire stay in Maine. We camped at Bangor / Holden KOA in a Motorhome. Detracting 1 star due to the water becoming non-potable during our stay due to their septic overflowing into their well contaminating it with e coli.
