I had the opportunity to take advantage of Experienced Shooter Private Development Session through Maine CWP Training with Paul Mattson. First and foremost, Paul is a very skillful firearms instructor. Despite my forty years in law enforcement, Paul had taught me some new skills that improved my shooting skills, which I had never learned before. Paul was extremely professional and his teaching method is extraordinary. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a firearms instruction course to seriously consider taking the training through Maine CWP training.

Extremely informative and knowledgeable. I felt completely at ease throughout the instruction and demonstrations. Very thorough in training with teach back to ensure understanding. Absolutely recommend and look forward to more classes!!

Paul is amazing. Made sure I understood everything that we went though. Highly recommend him if you are a beginner or expert looking for some refreshers. Knowledgeable guy that has the experience to back up his knowledge! 10/10.

Great experience with this business. Paul Mattson is an excellent instructor, very patient and with a lot of knowledge under his belt. He made the process of learning how to properly use a gun very smooth for me.

04/16/2022 , I had the pleasure training with Mr. Mattson regarding non- resident fire arm licensing. Driving up from NYC was well worth the drive. I was given tactical training, learned Maine laws, etc. Also, Mr. Mattson went more in depth with physical force and self- defense which are everyday practice’s I perform on daily basis ( Armed Security). Thanks again , Maine CWP Training LLC and looking forward in taking future classes at this training site

Paul was very thorough when instructing me in my course. He really took his time when teaching me and would quickly & kindly correct me as we go. It was a very comfortable experience. I left his class knowing I can use a firearm more safely and accurate because of his training. He went above and beyond with helping schedule a class that works best for me, he even arranged things for me outside of business hours to accommodate my short dead line to get this class completed.Plus before shooting we got to see some helicopters land on site and while waiting to start he was very informative about other gun laws. I really am excited to go back and learn more from him.Thank you Paul!

Paul Mattson was an amazing instructor. His thorough review of theory, skills and tactics in combination with live fire drills made the course incredibly useful and enjoyable. Paul is a great coach and a really nice guy! I would highly recommend his training courses!

It was a beautiful sunny day to shoot. Paul Mattson was a great instructor. He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and very clear with instructions and expectations. He is confident in his approach, and that gives us confidence in return. I would recommend the program to others.

Wrong Turn on the way to the training, but ended the morning with some great insight and instruction. Paul was understanding and quickly guided me to the target range for the training. I learned a lot from Paul, and even though I had owned and shot handguns since I was 18, I still learned quite a bit of valuable information. I look forward to getting my CWP again, as I had let it expire years ago. Thanks again Paul.

Paul was a delightful gentlemen. He was respectful, caring and patient. I learned a lot from him and will keep on learning. I feel now a days a female should have the means to protect herself without relying on someone else. I walked away feeling much more confident than when I began. I will be target practicing often to feel even more confident. When you can combine knowledge, smiles and laughter you have achieved excellence in regards to teaching. Thank you, Paul.

Paul was great. While he is very knowledgeable and has years of experience, he does a great job of relating to beginners. Class was a good combination of information and hands on training. I will definitely recommend to others.

Paul was an amazing instructor. My wife and I, both in our 60s and gun novices have just completed the Fundamental Handgun Safety and Proficiency course. Paul gave us the knowledge and instruction to feel comfortable to handle a gun safely and a good cornerstone to build from. We will be taking the Personal Protection in the Home course at the end of this month with Paul and looking forward to the training to continue our knowledge in becoming safe, responsible and proficient gun owners.

Had a delightful time learning how to safely handle the use of a firearm. Feel more confortable about knowing how to protect myself, if need be. Along with having been shown an eye opening experience about how little time you have if a situation did occur, to be prepared. Thank you so much for this experience.
