This is wine shop is such a great find! They are stocked full of a huge variety of wines and I tend to find something new every time I go in. They write a little tag full of information about each wine and I find it very helpful. The wines are also reasonably priced. I highly recommend Black Sheep Wine Shop if you're anywhere near by!

Cute little wine shop with a great selection of domestic and international wines and beer. Also some delicious locally made chocolate treats and other gift items. The owner was very sweet. Definitely worth a visit if you love wine!

This was a cute mom & pop shop. Very small. If your looking to grab a bottle of wine and some chocolate stop by. We bought a local wine just because we stopped and it was just okay

This little shop will surprise you. It is small but they have a fine selection of wine to meet most needs. Add in some special chocolate and other products and you are all set. The owners are knowledgeable and are happy to share their experience and answer questions. Well worth a stop.

This place is a gem! Wonderful selection of old and new world wines, cheap and expensive wines, and popular and less known grapes! Cheese selection was fairly limited, but what they did have was very good. Decent local beer selection too. And looked to be a nice selection of chocolates on hand. Owner was very pleasant. Will def be back when next return to Harpswell next summer!

The owner requests you wear a mask upon entering as he is compromised. He is very affable, and he and his wife are very knowledgeable. Many people coming in simply asked "can you get me 2 bottles of white for lobster," or "I need 4 whites and 2 red's for charcuterie and friends." They'd ask if price is a factor and pick out appropriate wines without hesitation. The shop is small, beer is also available, and should you care, you can buy a bottle, buy some cheese, and sit outside and enjoy.

Did I just find my new favorite wine shop in Maine? Possibly... Located in the middle of nowhere (at least for those that aren't from here), Black Sheep Wine Shop was such a wholesome find during our drive to Bailey's Island. Black Sheep felt like a little store out of a movie -- small, welcoming, cozy, and with lots and lots of wines (as well as ciders!). We walked in and the owner quickly made us feel welcomed. He gave us wine recommendations based on our taste profile, and I can now report back and say that we ended up liking all the wines he suggested. I also loved the presentation of the wines. Each wine had a little label, handwritten with notes -- the flavors, what it paired well with, where it came from, etc. Oh -- and they had a special section for local bottles. They also divided the wines by price, and that was helpful, too! Price transparency when it comes to alcohol is huge for me. All of these little touches made it beyond easy (and enjoyable) to choose a bottle (or 5).

We ordered wine through John and Jenn for our summer wedding in Harpswell, ME. We already knew what bottles we wanted but they were very quick in confirming pricing and sourcing/ordering everything that we wanted. They even offered to deliver the wine for free which was a huge help too and gave us a little wedding gift and personalized card with the order :) It's these types of touches that really made it extra special and we can't wait to go back and explore more of their wine and craft beer offerings. If you're in the area and want something delicious to drink - Black Sheep Wine Shop is definitely worth a visit!

What can I say? I've had a love of wine for years and traveled quite a bit, and this little shop has an impressive collection. Although the store is located in the middle of a very small town ,the selection could rival one in a larger urban setting. We were greeted by the owner and while we didn't go into the store because of Covid-19 restrictions, we had a great time choosing our wines from a book with their lists of small production wine and beers. The gentleman gave us a few recommendations when we asked and we ended up buying a case of wine. And we get the fun of popping open new and delicious wines over time; we'll be back. The beer we bought is one I've never heard of either, and was satisfying. Cheers, Black Sheep!
