Karen is an absolute sweetheart and makes you feel completely welcome. Her breakfasts every morning were incredible and most things come straight from her personal garden. The property was located in the perfect spot to escape all of the crowds but still access everything you could possibly want to do. We stayed 5 nights and slept with the windows open to the cool breeze off the water and the sounds of nature through the night. We'll be back for more and recommending this place to any friends and family who want a quiet kind getaway!
Rooms: Quaint and cozy
Nearby activities: 30-45 minutes from Bar Harbor and Schoodic Peninsula.

We had a wonderful stay at 3 Pines. The rooms are beautiful and have a gorgeous view. We were able to have our dog with us which we love. The breakfast was superb. Karen is a wonderful host. Loved it!!!

The most beautiful secluded venue next to the water, the absolute friendliest and warmest host (Karen), and the most delicious breakfast with scrambled eggs, blueberry muffins, and scones. Couldn’t be more thrilled with the experience. Easily one of the best stays I’ve ever had.

Our 2 night stay at Three Pines Bed and Breakfast was positively the highlight of the trip to Maine. Karen was a gracious host and made us feel so welcomed. All of her furry friend were especially endearing. Miss Magoo, Wobbles and Timmy made great companions during our delicious homemade breakfasts each morning. We were spoiled with pumpkin muffins and an egg frittata on the first day. The second day we were delighted with homemade yogurt with granola and apple pancakes. They offered us lots of fuel for our hikes thru nearby Acadia National Park. We would highly recommend Three Pines if you're in search of peace, quiet and amazing hospitality!

All we can add to the former 5 STAR reviews is that they are spot on--Karen is the consummate hostess. The setting and extrodinary breakfasts ( i.e. peach conserve from her own trees, eggs freshly laid on the premises, homemade pancakes with maple syrup) will stay with you long after you return home. An easy drive to Acadia National Park and Schoodnic Point is icing on the cake.

Maine during the fall season is beautiful. We were only able to stay one night which was not enough. The room was cozy, the property is spacious with a great view. Karen is gracious and her breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this B&B.

We chose to stay here on honey moon with our dog. Karen is a fantastic host. Her pancakes are delicious and home made yogurt a must have. The property offers a beautiful waterfront view and her flock of sheep are safely guarded by the lovely llama Inka. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to revisit in the future.

To say that Karen and the Three Pines setting were outstanding is an understatement! We had only one night to stay here, but even before we arrived, and in follow-up contact since we left, our experience has been exceptionally great. Karen is a very gracious, welcoming host, readily sharing her knowledge of the area, patiently answering our questions about her eco-friendly B&B design, taking us to visit and learn about her sheep and the "guard" llama, pointing out and inviting us to enjoy hikes on and near the property, and spoiling our taste buds with a unique and very healthy breakfast. We had a very comfy upstairs room from which we enjoyed leisure reading and a grand view of the serene bay ... ah, what a peaceful night of rest, serenaded to sleep by the crickets and gently awakened by a nearby rooster. We don't have our own pets right now, so it was a treat to meet and pet her dog and kitties ... all rescued by the nearby pet shelter where Karen volunteers. This will remain an outstanding memory, and a place we would love to re-visit.
