How this place is still operational who knows I imagine USPS is losing a lot of money having to refund priority express customers for missing the guaranteed delivery dates. My priority express package sat all day at this distribution center before being transferred to where I am an hour away and now I have to leave the state and fly back home so I won't even get the package anymore at all because I'll be on the other side of the country by the time it arrives. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

My medication has been sitting there for 6 days now. It has been 14 days since my local pharmacy in skowhegan maine mailed it to me. I live 30 minutes north. Yet it leaves maine, goes to NH, back to Southern Maine and then to this Eastern Maine distribution center. Then sits here for DAYS. My postal lady told me that THIS location has not been sending half of the mail expected recently. No wonder my box has been Empty for over a week. Which never happens. We always get 2 flyers weekly and magazines, mail, bills etc. Eastern Maine has something seriously wrong and its hurting people. Patients rely on this service to receive their medication in a timely manner. Not happy at all. Ive been instructed that the best thing to do is to contact the State Representatives.

The notorious black hole of Hamden claims another victim. This is the worse run distribution center in the whole postal system should have closed this waste space all it accomplishment are the delaying the mail. over the last 2 years my sister has sent .me 6. 2nd day.priority mail or the 6 only 1 arrived on time. They arrived anywhere from 2 to 5 days late the only thing in common is they all disappeared in the black hole of Hamden. I live 30 mins north of there 1 was sent downeast to Camden arrived 3 days late , 2 where sent to the post office's north of me arrived 2 and 3 days late another was sent back to Scarborough arrived 4 days late the 5th one was in Hamden lost in the building finally arrived 5 days late soaking wet and covered with tape because it was ripped and lost under one of there machines arrived 5 days late. My question is how is this PRiORITY mail. If this is PRiORITY mail I can't t imagine how the nonpriority mall is handled. I know they were thinking of Closing that center well they should. that place is the worse run center in the system. Who every is running that place needs to find a new line of work. I switched to UPS since then I have only received 1 package a day late with good reason was a hurricane in the Carolina's. Just for reference I worked in the postal service for 13 year in Mass. Every package was going thru the system like clockwork untill they arrived in the blackhole of Hamden.

This location in connection with Bangor use every excuse to why they haven't delivered mail or packages. The phone number to the actual locations are a joke, no one answers. They will place non delivery blame on the customer or claim you requested pickup when you haven't.

, ,strange, I thought this place closed, guess not, a current package was delivered to this place, and they sent it back to shipper, I don't understand why, all my years of ordering and receiving packages, they never went to this place, 1st time, I guess this is where packages go to die and never get delivered to where they are supposed to go, they just ship back to where it comes from, smh, it was supposed to be delivered to the New Gloucester post office, guess they didn't know where we were and shipped back

I don't understand why but my package arrived at the Portland post office to deliver to me but instead they chose to send it up to you in Hampton which makes no sense considering I live in Portland

Payed double money for extra shippping, was at usps 5 miles away from me and they held it for 5days. Horrible

My stepdad started serving this country in the Navy then served the federal government for another 50 years working for the postal service. Let me tell you about the thanks the United States Postal Service and MetLife have given my step dad. He died January 9 and it's now June 26. My mom has not recieved any of the life insurance because somebody along the way did not do thier job and neither one of them want to take responsibility and pay out mom the money so she had to get a lawyer and may have to start litagation if something isnt paid soon. They also have yet to start paying mom her annuity either. That's what I call thankless government service and no family should have to go through this after loosing a loved one.
